How can Rattle and the Berlin Phil produce a Ring with such mediocre singers and a worse-than-mediocre production? Rattle is not the most exciting of Wagner conductors, and the Berlin Phil are not the most emotional orchestra, but both are wild horses against such dull, ununderstanding singing and performing!

Talk about a dull production...the wedding scene looks like something out of a rom com. The HD is particularly unflattering for the performers, as well...everyone looks so pasty and old!

hab gerade gestern Götterdämmerung in Wiener Staatsoper gesehen. Diese Version war auch gut, möchte auch mal hören!!!

Liebe Berliner Philharmoniker, entdecke heute erstmalig Euren channel auf der Suche nach Veröffentlichungen von Britten´s "Young person´s guide..:". Ich mache darauf aufmeksam, dass HD in 1080p inzwischen der letzte Stand der Technik auf YT ist...:)

Das ist wirklich eine sehr schöne starke Darbietung. Und ich liebe es wenn Sir Simon Rattle Wagner dirigiert.

Ich weiss noch, als ich eine CD suchte mit dem Rheingold mit seinem Dirigat - die Verkäuferin im Classicladen hat mich belehrt, dass er keinen Wagner dirigiere. Ich wusste es aber besser ;-))
