The other 20%, we get a 5-10 second loop that loops for 3 minutes and people call it a song.

That's because of certain weird things with certain mp3s. I don't know why it happens, but to get rid of it, you first have to resave the mp3 as a WMA file (to do that, save it with no picture) and then import that file... you can then safely cut off the minutes of silence at the end! ^^
