i am so pleased to see that you never gave up looking for him, even if in the end you didn't really find him, you tried and thats the biggest respect you could give to his memory. I've never had a horse, or been close to one that has died so can't say i know how you feel but it is one of the hardest feelings when you lose them as i know from other people. Im glad your making a vow to never forget him, im so inspired by strong spirits like yours xx

To be honest, you don't have to own a horse to be close to them. I hear stories about people who were close to school horses or just horses that became a routine for them. Horses mark a special place in our heart, when they are theirs or not.

Thank you, I may not have many vivid memory's of him, but some stuck to me and just knowing he was with me those years is enough for me.

I can only imagine what that must have been like....I'm so sorry you had to go through it.

There is no doubt in my mind that Whitey is always out there in the field when you're riding.

Yes, but it had to do with people giving up on me, I was so little and I tried to tell them to keep looking but they just lost hope in us. It was sad to see it happen.

It was tough to go through, but all that pain was washed away with relief because he's up where nobody can take him :].

I think so, too. Sometimes I imagine Whitey jumping and runnin' alongside whichever horse I'm out riding. It's a good thought :]
