  • I've studied The Cid at UTEP. And I found him to be a proud and vainglorious men. He fought on both sides to achieve his aims. His two daughter were teens/young adults while he was alive. The Tale of the Cid will be remembered as at tale of Spain's first move to expunge the rag heads from Spanish territory.

  • Will there be another El Cid to protect Europe from the current Muslim invaders???

  • Dude, El Cid's horse was kinda badass.

  • Isla reclaimed Valencia in The Cid's final attack. This portrays a Christian victory. Chamegn is shown w/ her dahghters by her side as young girls, but legend at least portray's the daughters as being married in El Cid's lifetime.

  • @fubleduck And he also had a son that died saving King Alfonso's life. Diego, named after el Cid's father died at 18 trying to redeem the family in the eyes of a jealous court and due to that and old age, el Cid died in 1099, in bed saying that it is cursed the man who has only one son to succeed him.

  • SPAIN DIDN'T EXIST THEN,JUST A MOVIE,,,

  • @fillfucker

Spain is HISPANIA, a roman province

  • Screw Islam.

  • this is probably the worst representation of history i have ever seen.

  • @neoncarrots That is some claim for a movie! When the American reporter who covered Lawrence of Arabia's campaign at first hand was asked how accurate the 1960 movie of that name was, his reply was a classic "They got the camels and sand right"

  • once again the muslims prove themselves to be utter morons

  • @sean21408 No more stupid then the Christians were. Both sides are pretty retarded.

  • The decline of Islamic Spain was directly related to the new harsh ideology of the Al-Mohads vs. the Al-Moravids who were in power before them. In the following video, it is "Ben Yusuf" (Kinda like the Bin Laden of his time) who comes out of North Africa and forces the peaceful Al-Moravids (Spanish Muslims) to make war with the Christians (their own countrymen) even within their domain. Paleo-wahabism (ancestor of wahabism of bin Laden) is the problem

  • @zhakimel then history will repeat itself once more

  • @zhakimel You are wrong. The decline of Al-Andalus was directly related to the rise of the impassioned Christian Kingdoms and specifically their expanding ability to wage successful war on the Muslims. That's why the Al-Moravids (forerunners of the Al-Mohads) were invited into Spain in the first place REMEMBER, to defend an already fractured Al-Andalus from Christian attacks. This Movie is base propaganda: The Al-Mohads were no more wicked and cruel than their Christian counterparts.

  • @zhakimel Thank you for this information... I'm always happy when i learn something new about history :)

  • so sad cid die

  • Epic finish.

  • "please don't fall over

    please don't fall over

    please don't fall over"

Must have been through his guard's minds the whole time.

  • the castle look like Gondor castle hahaha

  • @bent That scene was filmed in the castle of Peniscola, (Valencia) near my home.

  • @naudesign cool...i wish i can live at a places like this..full of wander,,,

  • @bent It may look like Gondor but the reason of the film is simple. This is why Spain is a Christian country and not Muslim !!!!
