    FYI: Not an original John Hurt tune. His version doesn't have the same tempo or lyrics.

    He took some of the lyrics and adapted it a bit. The first recording of this was by the McGee Brothers in 1927. Sheet music is available here: digital.library.ucla.edu/apam/­librarian?ITEMID=NSO003003 from 1902 Sidney Perrin/Bob Slater
