That's a good duet - he should play more with Emmy Lou - they really harmonize very, very well!! His agent or Phoebe should try to arrange that he do more country. I absolutely love "Mean Old MAN". i BOUGHT HIS DELUXE EDITION AND PLAY IT ALMOST EVERY DAY. Jerry and Eric Clapton and James Burton did one of the very best songs "You Can Have Her". Actually all of the CD is much better. Jerry put his heart into this album. His gospel songs were really right on the mark.

I think all of these guys leveled the playing field for each other. The most talent in music history came from these people and the set the bar absurdly high. There wasn't a time in music before or after that could even hold a candle to the way these people performed and when they performed they gave it there all. These guys were the best! Name one other person who could even play anything near to Jerry Lee, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggert, who we're all cousins. They all play the same way

Actually, Elvis could play a pretty mean rockabilly/boogie woogie piano. The photo of Jerry Lee, Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Carl Perkins at the piano was the cover photo for the Million Dollar Quartet album. Most of the track on that have Elvis on piano.  Take a listen! He's very good.

Although neither song charted, it launched Jerry Lee's career. If you listen to all of his early songs, you'll see how much he influenced the music that followed - both rock and country. this is a song Emmylou sang many times with her duet partner Gram parsons back in early seventies.She is really enjoying singing it with the legend Jerry Lee.I think that smile on her face is pretty genuine and hardly illegal as another suggested.two very gifted singers on a great song.

jerry lee helped to change the world of music.he may not be happy with being second to elvis,but he sure has made his place in the world of music.country,pop,rock,and maybe jazz,not many people make such an impression on the world as jerry lee.his music is so heart felt,even soulful it's a natrual talent.his music seems to just flow from his soul.i only wish i would have seen him when he was younger.his place in music is among the top five and that is as good as you could ask for.thanks jerrylee
