  • To get it to stop pushing, you need to "toe in" the front wheels just a hair so they are pointed in just a fraction. You do this by adjusting the tie rods. It will make a big difference, because live axle (2wheel drive) go karts tend to push thru the turns. Nice video and go karts, I have 4 karts and between my buddies we have 8. I like the vids, make some without music and get em all out there again. Cool Man

  • mines just like that just yours is wider

  • nice. last time i drove my go-kart on the ally by my house, a neiborgh called the cops on me. luckly, i was 15 at the time. i am now 17. mine needs more weight up front. it just pushes (means it wont turn, its a NASCAR term for those who dont know) through corners.

  • yeah the green on pushes too if i take corners too fast. (can be scary. lol) i get pulled over by the cops all the time. the purple one drives like its on rails.

  • Your problem won't necessarily be remedied by adding weight to the front. Can you adjust the track widths? Increase the width of the front to give more bite. You could also increase the width of the rear to let the rear end slide more, thus giving the perception that the front has more grip.

And BTW - "understeer" is what this phenomena is properly referred to. The term was around far before Nascar was ever popularized. ;)

  • yes it is called understeer.

  • you could play around with the tire pressure. thats how i like to make quick adjustments to my go-kart. mines undergoing a little work right now though.

  • I had fun :) I can't wait until we do our next video!!!
