@contactbharath, For a Carnatic player the western style is easy as it doesn't have different kinds of osxillations of notes and difficult as the tuning of its strings is entirely different. amsharma
@msakella , And what about the position of playing? Is it easy for a carnatic payer to play in position as in western style? (I know there are limitations when rendering certain gamakas in western postion) I am not a violinist, so i dont know practically whether it is possible to play atleast some compositions in western style. Thank you very much for your time .
@contactbharath, It is not that easy to play Indian music handling the Violin in western style. Some compositions may allow to do so but many are not easy to do so unless they are diluted upto some extent to match the need. amsharma

You can replace the peg of the E-string with a machine-head used for Guitar, that too fixed on the left-side of the handle to facilitate easy movements of your fingers and wrist of your left hand.
I would like to know how to get a violin with only 3 pegs as the teacher has in this video. I am not able to find any like that online here in the USA. I have a regular, 4 peg violin - is there a way to change it to like that in the video? Thanks.
Your techniques and explanations are really good. I wish I had this information years ago when I started. Thank you
