You misunderstood me, but I was being rather unclear. I may not agree with some of the recipients, but that doesn't mean I think the Nobel prizes are losing their merit. I think he probably would've made a great recipient -- in the future. For now, I feel like they jumped the gun in awarding it so soon, partly because he's yet to actually accomplish something monumental, but also because this prize should be something to be proud of, not to hide under the bed and hope the press forgets about.

You misunderstood me, but I was being rather unclear. I may not agree with some of the recipients, but that doesn't mean I think the Nobel prizes are losing their merit. I think he probably would've made a great recipient -- in the future. For now, I feel like they jumped the gun in awarding it so soon, partly because he's yet to actually accomplish something monumental, but also because this prize should be something to be proud of, not to hide under the bed and hope the press forgets about.

I love this video. Yes, I was against the war in Iraq, and against Bush, but I was not against America. These people are cheering when America loses something and booing when America wins something. I can just see the those against Obama dancing in the streets if there is some attack on the US. Bush and his team barely got any heat for taking this country into Iraq, which was stupid, but then they bungled the whole thing from too few troops to pure incompetence.

I dont doubt that the Bush White House were convinced that there were WMD in Iraq at first. But after Saddam cooperated and UN inspectors went into Iraq and found nothing, and then for the White House to insist that these weapons were there and strike preemptively made them look like warmongerers. Especially after they invaded and these weapons were never found and the US is stuck in an unnecessery quagmire in Iraq where many thousands are dieing.
