@nickhahn3 Don't let people tell you "Season X sucks", each season has its fair share of stinkers as awesome episodes. I'd also highly recommend Hercules, I preferred Xena as a kid but I much prefer the mood that Hercules has.

@nickhahn3 I ordered the seasons through my local video store which all have shut down now. I personally think there where times Xena was its own show in ways Hercules wasnt. However I always loved the crossovers they done. But if you can find a video store you should be able to order them that way. And all the interviews are worth it. Tell me who you like so far the most and ill know which seasons you will like most. I wish Mavican ,Velasca, and Nijara had a few more episodes then they did.

It would be very interesting to research the origin of the ambrosia and, if it was real, the posibility that some of it survived and is still waiting to be discovered in some ancient temple underground. Meaning his roots are traced by his name there. And that name is also mentioned in the bible as Ēl Shaddāi. This confirms that he was firstly known as El, and since sumerians were before christianity, you could say it was his first name. Coincidently, the sumerians had a whole pantheon, consisting of a council of gods, and El was merely "a god."

The Fates had prophesized that a baby born without a father would mean the death of the Gods. The Gods went after Xena when Eve was born but things changed. Xena and Gabby took a potion that helped them to fake death but kept them in sleep for 25 years. It was only when Eve was baptized and was sorry and got forgiven for her sins did things change. The archangel Michael gave Xena the ability to kill the Gods because of it; as long as Eve was alive Xena was able to kill the Gods.

The blonde haired God is Strife's cousin Deimos. The reason he lools like Strife is because both characters are played by the same actor, Joel Tobeck. Deimos, the God of Terror appeared in seasons five and six of Hercules. Discord and him would do much of Ares's bidding; Deimos took Srife's place after the former had been killed by Callisto. She killed Strife with a Hind's Blood Dagger.

She got it back though, but not from the christian god, but from Michael to protect Eve. She lost it later when Eve died, but that time it was brought back by Ares. They were not evil. Before Eve's birth it was fortold that she would mean the end of the gods so they all banded together to kill Eve. They were also afraid of the fact that Xena was given to power to kill gods.

The reason the gods were evil on the show, was because the god of Israel, planned to destroy them and become the one true god. In order for this to happen Xena had to give birth to a child, by means of immaculate conception. In order for the gods to prevent their demise, they tried to kill Xena's daughter, and that is why Xena killed the gods, and Hercules killed Zeus.
