Really loved this song from the first time I heard it. It had a great beat and wicked bass. Thanks for allowing me to relive the wonderful 80's again.
Traditionally David Gamson gets for the most part the credit for Scritti Politti's programming and production "sound" in the 1980s, buut when you listen to this it's a pretty clear indicator how much of the Scritti Politti sound was Fred Maher. Even the cover artwork was the same as a Scritti single!
Absolutely GENIUS. Australia has NEVER had a dance band since like I'm Talking. i met Zan a few years ago and asked her to sing some of Holy Word to me but she forgot!>.. She was SOOOOOO ncie and was so happy how much I loved I'm Talking still. I always will, they are SO special. Kate has NEVER come close again since she went solo. I love Zan's voice as well and wish she would have done more lead vocals as she features on 2 tracks as front woman. STunning!
@SKOTP69 Yes they were streets ahead in time and in those days the 12" remixes were superb. I remember hearing The Cure's 'Head on the Door' 12" in 1986 and it was a gem as well. I also enjoyed Koo Dee Tah.
Better voice than kate,great song.

I'm Talking were ahead of their time. I love Kate, but I prefer Zan's voice.
