What I hate is that I've just spent 6 or 12 hours levelling up my characters, killing that giant tortoise and getting those berries so I can effectively kill the Garuda before entering the Tomb of Raithwall, the berries missed so I ended up killing it by repeatedly casting water on it anyway, only to find that in the frigging tomb there's another boss that's 3 times as hard, so I guess its another 6 hours of grinding to improve my characters.. the endless grind is starting to wear me down.
@PrimalConcreteSludge Guests dont level up or gain experience, they start at a level based on the level of your highest party member and do not level up. In this video, Vossler was added to the party when the highest level was somewhere around 30-ish.
Dunno if i should attempt this (I am right in front of the tomb) , my characters are rather well leveled in the 20 regions (Except for Vaan, Vaan sucks), wish i could understand the quickening mechanics better, besides the reward is only a chest with some potentially good items.

@TrueWillz all you gotta do is run around and kill enemies...I leveled from 14 to 20 on the sand people outside of the temple at the refinery area for about 4 hours today (give or take some time, because I was also trying to kill the first demon wall a couple times). I found the Final fantasy Wiki and it said 3 or 4 chain quickenings should be enough, but I seem to have done 4 before and only took the wall down to 75% and then down to 25% with physical attacks (that was at level 18)
@MrDreuger Same stuff happened to me. I used a 9 chain quickening and its health only went down to 70%. Then I used a second quickening and chained 5 times and it went to 30%. It made no sense.
@TrueWillz Well it really depends. Some people chain dustias. I just unlocked monographs early and needed money for weapon and armor upgrades early game so i farmed simple stuff like skeletons in lhusu mines. with monograph (knight's I think) you can get better drops (and pebbles) and get some exp as well. Usually a half hour run can level every character once at least, with around 26,000 gil or more every time. (I stole off everything.)

I beat this MF as level 20. Was very hard though; after about 10 tries or so. Spammed quickenings, let every char drink some whine that did the same thing as berserk (only that it is instant cast). I left one char without berserking though, my spellcaster. So she could heal status effects and HP with items; since they are instant cast too.

Just beat him first time :D All of mine are Lv20 (except Basch, he's 19), I just figured out how to work Quickenings + they each know 2 (apart from Penelo who knows 1). Thought it would be impossible from the first time i played, but I got a 8 Combo first with Vaan, Ashe & Basch doing 13700 damage and a 7 Combo with the other 3 that finished him off.
I better run back and level up a bit before this. Even though I already have Vaan and Fran at level 17 or something. But I need some stuff.... I still don't even have aero. Been looking for it for ages, kinda

He's always higher level than the others. Therefor, my vossler is only at level 16, but when I leveled, he leveled aswell. WIthout gaining experience. That's how it is :3

Yes, but you must beat both walls. If you beat the first wall, you can no doubt beat the second. After you beat both walls, you can go back to where the first wall was and press the jewel. Then these paths will ascend and you just go through one of them (doesn't matter which as they are mirrored). Then you pass through the first hall, and go down the series of stairs. After which you'll be on this bridge, you can fight the enemies, or just rush through them. In the middle you should see a chest.
I didn't have enough characters to finish adding one important thing. The chest either contains Gils, A Holy Mote, or the Demonsbane. It's random, so if you don't succeed in getting what you want the first time, reset the game and try again.(Don't forget to save when you beat the first wall!)

Don't worry mate, I beat it with a level 16 team, you'll be fine as long as you use lots of quickenings with all your characters, lol it felt too easy when I did it.
I'm having trouble at 20/20/20, with 2/1/0 quickenings, and one even has a kotetsu that I farmed from werewolves (50 ap). can't get the bastard lower than 30% before he squashes me to the wall. will try again tomorrow with some more exp and maybe a 2nd kotetsu if I'm that lucky
beat him a day after that comment. just cast reflect on all, make everyone have a gambit to cast aero/dark on themselves, and have as many quickenings as you can (use it before he does the first telega)

Im lvl 23 at this part and i have only gotten 1 quickening. so it doesnt help, but in all acuallyity it isnt hard to train especally in the place your at, got from lvl 18 to 23 in like 2 hours. trying to accomplish this goal thanks for the video
my main party consists of vaan basch and fran all lvl 18 and i am currently doing all montblanc hunts and sandsea hunts in rabanastre to get gils , exp and quickenings ^^
well guys i think there is a useful hint that can be placed here for those who r in low level, the thing is u can get a thing called " Arcturus Gun " be4 u kill this bastard...u can youtube it so u can know how to get it...for me i killed this wall just by using mist attacks and i was on level 12 i guess...so just keep on tryin =D

i had baltheir, basch, and vaan as my main party, each lvl 21 with all 3 quickenings. I got a 13 hit chain which did around 14000 damage, then berserked basch and went crazy. I had Iron Hammer for all 3 guys so the rest of his hp went down fast, didnt even have to cure :D
beat it with 1 lvl 21 and 2 level 20's. The key is the quickening and then switch character and cast berserk on vaan then let the guy x kill the weak character then bring back your strong one.

I used all my quickenings, but that wasn't enough apparently, cause it only took off like half of his HP, and having no MP left and only like 1 ether, I was pretty screwed. I hadn't even remembered to get charge before that fight either xP

well if you ran, you can always come back later and fight it. If you win against him, a secret passage open and you can get (with luck) Demonsbane, a good sword with 90 attack. My strategy to beat it, its like what he does at the beginning, i berserk my two most powerful warrior, so like Fran or anyone else with a lot of attack (berserk the 4th companion) and ATTACK ! lool, do some magic like water..if you have it. And most of it : good luck :)
I dont get why people found this so hard. It wasnt EASY but i killed him at Level 18's etc. Was mainly just hitting it with me, I think i went into a quickenign chain for the latter half of his health, but my weapon was the first hammer from "Axes and Hammers 1" on License Board, IronHammer i think. Basch, Penelo and Ashe all on those wweapons + Round Shields + Battle Lore and Shield Block. Was easy, then i just used Penelo to remove status's as they came up.
I killed the first one with a large quickenign Chain, was LEvel 18 for my full party i think, I used predominantly Physical Attacks and went into a Quickenign Chain i think in the end. I had all characters with 3 Quickenings though as id got huge LP amounts.
whenever i try to fight the first demon wall I have to run. Because I fight until he gets me to the door. I hope I win but he always cast Blind, Silecne and Sleeep... it sucks but I never used Quickenning I don't know why...
I used Oil and mostly Hierology to beat the first wall and that was a struggle. I had most of the magic licence board open and all characters were at least level 25 probably higher.
If someone can kill this at a lower level I'd love to know how, because I was trying for hours even with quickenings - the 2nd wall is a lot easier.
I beat him with all level 18s apart frm vaan and penelo which was level 17 ^_^ just use lots of quickenings (ethers help aswell) and don't bother summoning as when i did vaan(who had the esper) just got telega cast on him :(
ashe10 deafeted this demon wall on her level 1,2,2,3,3,3 file it possible ....it was incredible..i deafeted it solo after several tries of it teleing me
i can't kill him x.x i all out use water spells and dark spells on him x.x take out half his hp oh and activate the fire things slows him down or speeds him up

Restarted my game and I'm up to here again,
For some reason, even though all my characters are 20+.... Vossler is still only Level 18? He won't level up for some reason.

I believe the determining factor for Guest levels is Vaan's level at the time of the guest joining plus anywhere from 1 to 5 levels.

I'm having trouble at 20/20/20, with 2/1/0 quickenings, and one even has a kotetsu that I farmed from werewolves (50 ap). can't get the bastard lower than 30% before he squashes me to the wall. will try again tomorrow with some more exp and maybe a 2nd kotetsu if I'm that lucky

beat him a day after that comment. just cast reflect on all, make everyone have a gambit to cast aero/dark on themselves, and have as many quickenings as you can (use it before he does the first telega)

heyyy ur an idiot guest are the same lvl as ur partys average lvl when u get him but ur right u cant lvl him up but if u get him when ur a high lvl ull be a high lvl i mean when i firast got ldy ashe i was already lvl 45 it was a waste of 3 weeks of training non stop but hey i accidwentally erased the file but oh well

Im lvl 23 at this part and i have only gotten 1 quickening. so it doesnt help, but in all acuallyity it isnt hard to train especally in the place your at, got from lvl 18 to 23 in like 2 hours. trying to accomplish this goal thanks for the video

my main party consists of vaan basch and fran all lvl 18 and i am currently doing all montblanc hunts and sandsea hunts in rabanastre to get gils , exp and quickenings ^^

well guys i think there is a useful hint that can be placed here for those who r in low level, the thing is u can get a thing called " Arcturus Gun " be4 u kill this bastard...u can youtube it so u can know how to get it...for me i killed this wall just by using mist attacks and i was on level 12 i guess...so just keep on tryin =D

dang you got a level 31 ashe??? :P ha I'm at the same place as you but all my characters are lvl 35!!! but dang it takes like hours to lvl all your charcters up.... eh I just kill lots of zombies in the lhusa mines and hav a big battle chain and lots of gil.. but nice job!!!

i had baltheir, basch, and vaan as my main party, each lvl 21 with all 3 quickenings. I got a 13 hit chain which did around 14000 damage, then berserked basch and went crazy. I had Iron Hammer for all 3 guys so the rest of his hp went down fast, didnt even have to cure :D

beat it with 1 lvl 21 and 2 level 20's. The key is the quickening and then switch character and cast berserk on vaan then let the guy x kill the weak character then bring back your strong one.

!!!BIG TIP!!! turn battle speed to the max the wall moves the same speed but the battle goes quicker so you get more hits in on him.

I used all my quickenings, but that wasn't enough apparently, cause it only took off like half of his HP, and having no MP left and only like 1 ether, I was pretty screwed. I hadn't even remembered to get charge before that fight either xP

well if you ran, you can always come back later and fight it. If you win against him, a secret passage open and you can get (with luck) Demonsbane, a good sword with 90 attack. My strategy to beat it, its like what he does at the beginning, i berserk my two most powerful warrior, so like Fran or anyone else with a lot of attack (berserk the 4th companion) and ATTACK ! lool, do some magic like water..if you have it. And most of it : good luck :)

I dont get why people found this so hard. It wasnt EASY but i killed him at Level 18's etc. Was mainly just hitting it with me, I think i went into a quickenign chain for the latter half of his health, but my weapon was the first hammer from "Axes and Hammers 1" on License Board, IronHammer i think. Basch, Penelo and Ashe all on those wweapons + Round Shields + Battle Lore and Shield Block. Was easy, then i just used Penelo to remove status's as they came up.

I killed the first one with a large quickenign Chain, was LEvel 18 for my full party i think, I used predominantly Physical Attacks and went into a Quickenign Chain i think in the end. I had all characters with 3 Quickenings though as id got huge LP amounts.

whenever i try to fight the first demon wall I have to run. Because I fight until he gets me to the door. I hope I win but he always cast Blind, Silecne and Sleeep... it sucks but I never used Quickenning I don't know why...

I used Oil and mostly Hierology to beat the first wall and that was a struggle. I had most of the magic licence board open and all characters were at least level 25 probably higher.
If someone can kill this at a lower level I'd love to know how, because I was trying for hours even with quickenings - the 2nd wall is a lot easier.

I beat him with all level 18s apart frm vaan and penelo which was level 17 ^_^ just use lots of quickenings (ethers help aswell) and don't bother summoning as when i did vaan(who had the esper) just got telega cast on him :(

The characters join depending of your average level... there is no set level at join... so stop being rude =)

lol... it is not impossible to beat him... you just have to be good at using quickening... not hard... not hard at all
