I thought the movie was a waste of potential. I overlooked the reviews from the critics and audience and decided to watch it. Initially I was liking it until I realized that the storytelling was just bad. Seriously, they infrequently give away plot points as an excuse for storytelling, then just fill it to the brim with special effects (undeniably awesome, I'll give it that). I mean, no event built up to the other and everything in between was pretty bland.

@xtHeCaItLinDx I have to say i enjoyed it, but i wasn't expecting much and certainly didn't get much, realising that this was always going to be difficult to conceive on the big screen.  Maybe if we get a sequel, things will improve, but considering they will probably use the same 'engine' to save money on building it all again from the ground up, i have my doubts on actual 'improvements'. Perhaps this should go to pixar to make.

I love this movie, I loved how they did the ring's power where it doesn't just come from the ring. Since the suit is made out of energy it starts at the center symbol on his chest and travels up his arm and then shoots it out of the ring. It's awesome.

I think that Ryan Reynolds was a good choice for Green Lantern, he only played Deadpool for a short part in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. As for Chris Evans, he only played in the Fantastic Four movies in 2005 and 2007 and was a good choice for Captain America, both very good movies and worth watching
