Oh, don't get me wrong; I sympathise with how bad the attack must have been, and with the frustration of 999 not responding... But given 999 calls are centrally handled, and dispatches sent according to who's available rather than which specific station, don't see how one station not being manned is relevant. Feel free to complain to them... but 4 minutes of reading signs? On Youtube? You think that will help, really?
You sad little man. If the car park was full of police cars and the station full of officers you would say they should be out policing the streets. Get a life!
there not in the station does that mean they are out policing the streets knob ed!! is it better they are not in then having 30 officers not doing anything knob ed!!!
You tragic man !! Is that all you can do with your time ? That station hasn't been there all that long, how did you ever cope before that? Would you rather the police were sat in the station or have them out dealing with crime ? IDIOT.
Firstly learn how to use a camera. Secondly if your going to try and 'report' get your facts right.
When you took that video the station was in the process of changing from the IRT team to soco. The IRT are now based in a more central location for the area they cover. I've not read your blog because you seem like a very dull person. If you have been to jail in my eyes you forfeit all rights to complain. You're already a drain on society, lowest of lows who's opinion shouldn't count.
The police do a fantastic job and are often slated for not turning up to incidents. Thing is you don't know what else is happening in the city that is more urgent than your call. And you have no idea how many police officer are covering the whole of Hull at any one time. (around 20 - 25 irt officers covering the whole of hull. thats around 245,000 people) Each person thinking there job is more important that the other.
OK,lets talk FACTS. Altruism is a selfless act. There is nothing selfless in your agenda. In the Guardian article you display in your blog you state 'society owes me'. Why? Because you spent 25 years in prison for caving an old ladys' skull in with an axe. What about Article 2 of ECHR? Hypocrisy again.
It isn't a question of freedom of expression, it's a question of hypocrisy. Your previous actions aren't miraculously wiped clean just by watching 'The Shawshank Redemption' a couple of times. Might I ask what it is that you do that in anyway benefits society? By the way, the 'prison reform' gambit always seems a bit weak coming from ex-prisoners. Do you do anthing remotely altruistic or is it all a question of your own bitter agenda?
At which point during the 35 years you spent in prison at the taxpayers expense, should the idea that you might, just might have forfeited your right to bemoan the ills of society? You have spent most of your life as the problem rather than some self-appointed guardian of the nations morals. Not happy when you become the victim? My heart bleeds.
Maybe they are all bastards in your eyes, but you wanted there help didn't you? You are like the majority of people in this country slag off the Police, but you will always need them. In my eyes they do a fantastic job and don't get paid enough....
jobsworth74: In my eyes not all of them are. Some of the visitors to my site are either serving or retired police officers. It's a provocative title from graffiti I have seen on police station cell walls. I only wanted their help because if I had taken the law into my own hands...
Some of them do a fantastic job, others just go through the motions. Either way, they are in the front line and must expect to take some flak. Especially, when it is justified.
ianagar: Simply because a fact is a fact, if I had said they were a tribe of Baboons that would not be a fact but a fiction, therefore I stick to the facts.
You can get there by following the "Links:1" beneath the video. Might I recommend you delve into the archives for All Coppers Are Bastards where Humberside Police win the stupidest copper of the year award...
ianagar: If you read my blog where I go into more detail, that description was provided by the trouble makers themselves. They must have got used to the police description of them or from other complainers.
2 things immediately spring to mind. Firstly, why did you feel the need to specify the fact that you were attacked by 'Asian' males? Betraying your true motives perhaps? And if you put your faith in 'Levy' then, God help you.
Humbertool: You only have to check out the Humberside Police website to see what the Chief Constable has to say and what is actually happening in reality.
jobsworth74: I haven't got a clue why it has closed down. It has only just been opened under Charles Clarke. I think we ought to leave it to Levy to get the answers.
If you read the website properly, & the local press, you would realise that the officers at that Police station were only there temporarily, until their station was finished on Gordon Street, the centre of their area, as opposed to the far edge. I think you should do your homework before telling the police how to do their job.The site also provides the details of a Police station not 200 metres from the one you video'd (badly,)in Pearson Park, which DOES cover the local community!
jailhouselawyer are you for real? Haven't you got anything better to do then video an empty Police Station? If you were an active member of the community you would know why it has been closed. Get a life!!!!
It is a shame there are people out there like this. He has not got a clue about policing strategies and he is making a fool of him self. It is unlikely the police failed to attend and i can only assume it was not a crime in progress when he phoned it in. Get behind your local police instead of trying to undermine the hard work day to day police officers contribute to an overstretched and underpoliced city.
I think that exposing police "no go areas" is being a useful member of the community, and contributing to society. What is ridiculous is not my comments, but the Ghost Police Station pretending to be the Marie Celeste and we have to guess what happened to the crew? A strategy which involves emergency responses being sent from elsewhere to here is a failure to use available resources properly, and is tantamount to negligence.
If they were all out doing police work in the local area there would not be a problem. The police station was built and opened for the purpose of policing the local area. We have been neglected whilst they police elsewhere. If anyone needs to get a grip, it should be the Chief Constable of Humberside Police. He appears not to know the difference between his arse and his elbow.
If you were a useful member of the community you might be able to contribute something, apart from ridiculous video comments, and be up to date with what the current policing strategies and policies for your local area were!!!!!!!
What a waste of money building a police station that nobody mans, dohhhhhhh

No bitterness. Beating the government is a sweet experience.
