Tying the Calvin Shrimp (Salmon Fly) with Davie McPhail.

Thats a great fly I wonder if one could sub the eyes with golden pheasant tips instead of JC and still be successful in catching salmon.. Good tying sir..

It certainly would be worth trying, when I didn't have jungle cock I simply leave it out as there's many top flies out there that don't need it like the Willie Gunn, Ally's Shrimp and the Cascade...

I really like this fly by Ross McDonald as I'm sure it will take a few fish this year.

If I showed you my tying area you would be disappointed much like I am with it, my son's a joiner so I'm hoping this year to get my tying area into order, I'll maybe show it off then...
