I'm not quite sure how you can compare a game on different platforms. I can compare the same PS2 game on different TVs and get results similar to these. For instance, I play TRL on the LCD we have in the game room and it looks nice, shadows look great and the colors look more vivid however at some points in the game the lighting sucks and it gets so dark I can't see a thing! I would increase the brightness but then the colors start to look dull. And when there is light, Lara looks textureless

@justwatchinthevideos However when I move the PS2 to the LCD I have in my room, I leave all the settings as they are and change my TV settings to those similar to the one in the game room and I get different results. Lara looks more textured and looks less like a plastic doll. However the colors seem dull and not as lush. I even did comparisons with different laptops of the pc version with the same video cards. Even with the same game settings, I got different display results.

@flamesdemon19 Yes, however, when you have the tech for graphics, why should you not utilize this? Graphics aren't everything, no and a good game stands alone without them. But if you are making games in today's gen, you need to focus on graphics as well as gameplay or you will end up with a low-quality graphic game in an era with the advanced tech that does not allow for excuses in this. This is the mistake that Nintendo made with Wii. If you CAN have the graphics, you should.

@DKCGamerGirl Example: TR Anniversary. Great game and it also pushed the PS2's hardware to it's limit in order to deliver beautiful graphics. The same is true for Burnout Dominator.

A classic example is the DKC series. The DKC games had better graphics than almost anything else on SNES and are widely known as classic games with some of the greatest platform gameplay there has ever been to this day. They had the tech on SNES for such graphics, so they utilized it, along with making it great.

@flamesdemon19 A game can have both & still be good. Would you use a Win 95 PC with a 40mb HDD, 150mg of RAM, & a 1.3GHz "Intel Inside" Pentium 4 processor as your primary PC today? I doubt it. You would want the high tech PC, as it gives you more, while still offering you the basics the old ones did. Same applies to games. You can still have the great gameplay with the latest tech. No, a lot of games now don't utilize gameplay over graphics. Some games, like DKC, TRA, have already had both.

I have been gaming for almost 20 year, starting when I was very young with Adventure on Atari. So, I know how good a game can be without graphics. I also know how good a game can be when it has great gameplay that draws me into the game and the realistic graphics to further enhance that, so that I feel I am actually there.

@DKCGamerGirl Actually,indeed good graphics and gameplay can be together.And Jak and Daxter series delivered that.But ND didn't care for the graphics.They did their best when it came to that but afterwards focused on how fluid the gameplay is.In all of their games.And about Anniversary,it had great graphics and I really liked the environment.But the gameplay was awfull.You could only grab the programmed ledges and the levels were like tunnels.You can only go forward.TRA was NOT a TR game.

People often forget to enable these RGB Full Range (HDMI), Y Pb / Cb Pr / Cr Super-White (HDMI) and Deep Color/Colour Output (HDMI). The ps3 colors and brightness looks better with them enabled.

@TRDOA22 Just saying, but to do that you need to have a capture card that uses HDMI, there are only a few of them which can. On another note Xbox has the same setting to under the display settings. When it comes to multiconsole games the 360 will always look better due to the 54 dedicated shader pipelines compared to PS3's 24.

These comparison vids make me laugh, the only difference is the lighting and shadow, which will look wildly different anyway depending on your tv settings. It's a great game no matter which console you have.

If you set the console to run at 1080p, the game will upscale the 720p resolution into 1080p! Underworld runs at 576p on the 360 and then it is upscaled to 720p, but that's on the 360 ONLY!

The PS3 version runs at NATIVE 720p!

Get a frickin' capture card and compare both PS3 and PC versions with the PC version running at 720p. Oh and i forgot to say, GET SOME GLASSES, K?

@fabioemaurizio No! This is wrong! In this beginning cutscene weren't shadows at all. BUT after the cutscene they are shadows! Ever noticed? That's the only difference and that the Xbox is darker, wich is realer, and more colours, than the PS3. The shadows are 1:1!

@yXcristianXy Dont get me wrong.Both are amazing console and have their own up and downs.But the truth is the ps3 graphics r more sharpen than xbox, not only in this game ifnot in many others.Textures r more sharpen just like wet lara, dirt, rain, shadow as you sayd and light. I think the PS3 version is better with Graphics, it has more shadow detail, more vibrant colours, supports better Anti Aliasing and I heard that eh textures on the PS3 version have a little more pixels in them than in 360, but 360 has better framerate.

HAHA! The only difference is that the colors are far richer in the 360 version. I own the ps3 version and the problem with it is that its too...grey...her face is like...SUPER PALE ...EVEN when you adjust the TV settings. A good example of this is from 0:38 to 0:59

No! The 360 is NOT better. I saw a similar comparative video on here a while ago of the boat sequence near the begining of the game. It clearly shows that the PS3 version is superior. There is more attention to detail on the PS3, it showed shadow and light on the PS3 that were not evident on the 360. This video isn't a good example!
