Just so some know, FireRed and LeafGreen ARE considered generation 3 games. True, they are remakes of generation 1 games, but that doesn't determine what generation it is classified as. FR and LG were made AFTER the first gen 3 games (ruby/sapphire), and they incorporate the generation 3 pokemon into the game NATURALLY (ie, you can legitimately catch gen 3 pokemon in the games). Now, the new HeartGold/SoulSilver games are considered generation 4 games (not gen 2, even tho they are remakes).

Hg and ss are both part of gen 4. We know nothing about gen 5 other than it will probably out in japan later this year and elsewhere in 2011. It may come out either exclusively on the next ds (not the dsi xl but the tru sequel to the ds) or on both the modern ds and ds2. lastly we know there's a movie coming out for gen 5 and we know of 2 gen 5 pokemon zorua and its evolved form zoroark. They are kind of like lucario.

I think they need a tougher 5th generation like 1st & 2nd Gym have 3 Pokemons in their party, 3rd, 4th & 5th Gym have 4 Pokemons in their party & finally the 6th, 7th & final Gym should have 5 in their party. For the Elite Four and Champion they should have all 6 in their party instead of having 5 for the Elite Four, Champion already has 6 which is fine already. Another thing I think is you should face the Elite Four 3 times, 1st time: Lv53-65, 2nd time: Lv68-80 & 3rd time: Lv88-100.
