The Hmong wanted to have their own freedom and to stop the spread of Western Colonies in Indochina. The Hmong majorities mainly from Vietnam and those few in Thailand and China walked in to Laos to help their brothers and sisters who were also Hmong. The Hmong Blacks, Hmong Whites, and Hmong Greens make the biggest force in the side of the Viets but were not known as much as those supporting the Westerners. Because to the Viets everybody supporting the Viets are all the same category: Nyab Laj.

My family came to the US because of the war, we were the second wave of refugees that came in the late 1970's. Even though my parents do not have any animosity towards Vang Pao, I feel that the documentary needs to clarify that Vang Pao was not our Hmong Leader, he was someone who had the ability to convince our people to fight the war. In America, he has only promoted his own status and did nothing in the 70's and 80's, or today to advocate for our people's freedom in Laos and Thailand.

ok. the true story is dat Laos is bein divided by 2 parties. so VietNam choose 1 party n choose the Royal Laos as their enemy, so VietNam send troops to Laos to break the Royal Laos power. The attack were successful, Vietnam den try to take over Laos due 2 its strong military but den retreated cus of the chinese invasion on northern VietNam.

Some Hmong people have been allowed to migrate to US decades later.
What took the US government so long?
We could end this suffering in no time with more of our help.
Money the US wastes in one week would take care of the Hmong to relocate in a month.

My family came to the US because of the war, we were the second wave of refugees that came in the late 1970's. Even though my parents do not have any animosity towards Vang Pao, I feel that the documentary needs to clarify that Vang Pao was not our Hmong Leader, he was someone who had the ability to convince our people to fight the war. In America, he has only promoted his own status and did nothing in the 70's and 80's, or today to advocate for our people's freedom in Laos and Thailand.

ok. the true story is dat Laos is bein divided by 2 parties. so VietNam choose 1 party n choose the Royal Laos as their enemy, so VietNam send troops to Laos to break the Royal Laos power. I hate the term "Vietnam War" because I don't think it represent the cruel reality of the chaos that went on in Southeast Asia during the 60's-70's.
They should refer to it as "The Southeast Asian War" because it not only was it affect Vietnamese people but also the Khmers (Cambodians), Laotians, Hmongs, and even Thais too.

dude.... us wanted help with the vietnam war (because they didn't know the terrain), so they asked hmong people for help. They promise hmong people freedom... and this happens. It is kind of happening now, but the U.S. is not invloved.

You can do something about this. Write or call your local government representative and let them know how you want this to be stopped. You have the power to stop this, but it starts with you making the first step. I've already taken my own action by writing my representative. Now it's your turn.

Between fighting comrad in arm it's all about honor,the American did not honor their agreement,what's a soldier without honor ? what's a country that abandon a friends and allies in need ? it is a digrace to leave a fighting comrad behind,the hmong people were american comrad during the war,and they are left behind to suffer at the claw of the beast.
