Nice Filming, looks like it was stripped and dumped over the side I've seen planes like this before fuselage and guns etc stripped, very nice find though,Thank God the summer is here and easy Diving is back :D!
Nice Video..SO thanks..AND this is like anything else we do find ore discover under water..LEAV IT LIKE U FOUND IT..then more divers can see,and understand the History..
A plane like this..dont belong to any private person..Its to the gouvermente in the Land where the Ocean is to..If its out in International ocean..Its still noe YOURS..so leav it..And it also may be a grave yard for one ore more persons..
Interesting to see that someone pulled the guns from the wings....I wonder when that happened, and who did it? The plane looks like it could be pulled up and restored. Sure it would require a near 100% rebuild, but you'd have all the templates!
Beautifully done! I'm not familiar with the rules of diving wrecks, but I would've tried to rub off the silt to determine if there are any identification numbers/marks. Perhaps it could be historically tied to the pilot and/or the event leading to the crash. Either way, your video documentation was splendid!

I say leave it there, it's history. There still are flying example of the p47 anyways.
