@Keezih Imagine you were a kid in middle school and to learning geography. So. Where would you start? Like 5,000 miles away or in your own front yard? I don't know if you know about the curriculum an average student in the U.S. has had by the time they graduate. They learn more about Europe than Europeans learn about the U.S.

There is more to learn about Europes history because its not one country but many different countries with very different languages and history. While USA is only one country, it does only have history from the 1500 or 1600 when columbus arrived in America
