Just a suggestion, try pulling your shirt up with your left hand while drawing with your right. When you pull up the shirt, grab as far down toward the bottom as you can and then pull it all the way up to armpit-level to be sure that it clears. Saves a bit of extra motion (so your right hand doesn't have to do two actions to draw while your left hand is idle), and you're not as likely to get your gun hung up on your shirt as you draw it in a hurry.
@darkwriter77 I do that with some shirts, but when I think I can get away with it, I like having a free hand in front. So I can, you know, ninja briefcases from homies or something. :v
Question - Does the ctac jab you in the ribs? How often do you carry concealed? I am a similar body type/size and am looking to conceal the xdm 9mm 4.5" barrel. I wear similar clothes probably more t-shirts and would carry some-what often.
@NoWunUNO15 Depending on cant and position, it can jab a bit. Carrying routine, it may be something that you get used to and forget about. In a less than comfortable configuration, cars&seatbelts become annoying.
The MTAC supposedly helps with these issues, but no first hand experience. I haven't been inclined to spend the extra money because it didn't bother me enough. Also, the retention click is a little crisper on the CTAC.
If you can pull off baggy shirts, they help a lot w concealment.
I may be a bit late here. I had similiar issues with other IWB holsters. I have since purchased one from kohlster google it. It less then conventional looking but the comfort security and customization it permits i love. Google it or if you have questions bout mine send me a message.
Not that this should make people shy away, but it looks like kholster has the same design issue crossbreed has: the leather backing interfering with getting a clean master grip while holstered. It'll probably require more effort and practice on part of the user to be as fast/consistent as some of Comp-Tac's IWBs. It does look more comfortable though.
Good demo, showing multiple points of view. Also many draw and re-holstering takes, which adds to viewers understanding of the capabilities of the product under review. Thanks! Keep up the good work.
