They're not saying that you have to GIVE them the originals. What they were saying (and you should have paid better attention to it when you read or/and watched them saying it) is that when you upload videos to here, the full quality of them is not maintained by YouTube, so if they use your videos, they want to be able to REcopy it from the highest quality you have, and so that means you should care enough about your own work to not wipe your files or record over your tapes.

@DistantDreamer93 I think this film is supposed to come out at Sundance in February 2011. It will be interesting on how this project will turn out.  I have watched some of the footage that was submitted and some of what I saw was pretty interesting but a lot was kind of mundane...which is pretty much what a normal day would be for most people.
