Ner'Zul was there with loads of Undead long before h came there, so it's not to hard to imagine who provided him gear, forces, transport... there is so much one can deduce from back-story, even if you don't get to see it directly.

@hticks Well arthas didn't get the power he wanted, ner'zhul got the freedom he always wanted after kiljaeden torturted him and kept his sole in the frozen throne. And thus from that day forth ner'zuhl was waiting for a hist to use as a new strong body, and arthas was the chosen one. And art has doesn't have much control over his body after he starts wearing the helmet :)

@Kalshnutz Blizzard stated the books are not always canon with their games 100%, and considering Nerzhul (soul) IS the power that flows thru Arthas, it is possible that he surpressed him. but when you watch the cinimatic where Arthas dies, you hear Nerzhul taking over the demon/human person (im sorry i dont follow WOW) that takes up his helm. if you kill Nerzhuls soul utterly, you kill the Scourge, thats why Kil'Jaeden wanted Illidan to destroy him, so the undead under him would perish

Deathwing has been in the lore long before Arthas even existed. He used to be Neltharion the Earth-Warder but became corrupted and driven into insanity by the Old Gods' Whisperings. He created an artifact known as the Demon Soul to become even more powerful and destroy the world. He was banished into the depths of the earth by the other dragon aspects (Ysera, Alexstrasza, etc.) Now he has arisen and wants to finish what he started.

I told them, then, that there was still Deathwing, Azhjara, Xavius and the Emerald Nightmare, Old Gods, and Sargeras and the entirety of the the Nethrezim and pit lor draces. to deal with. So far this current expansion deals with maybe two of those. Not to mention the claim there are other worlds that combat the burning legion. And, always the possibility of a resurgence of the troll's blood gods. There is a ton of content.

What really makes me sad is that the Arthas, being the huge badass he is, gets killed in World of Warcraft... After making such an impression in the warcraft world I never imagined him dieing by the hands of a group of people on an MMO as grand as it may be..
