The Elf king one of my favorite WTF games...... wow and it is realy eerie mysterious and makes u think that why is the boy possesed by a DEMON! pretty good story for a movie or sumthing

Please tell me, am I the only one who finds this pretty much the only game in Work Time Fun EXTREMELY eerie? Seriously, the first time I played this, I just sat there silently, not knowing how the fuck to react to it.

I used an Intensity Pro to capture in 720p, but I also needed a scaler to upscale the PSP's 480p component out to 720p just so the Intensity Pro would recognize it. It's costly, so you have to be nuts about video quality, nuts about PSP games, and nuts in general.

Otherwise, just pick up a PSP-3000, output through composite, and use a more affordable non-HD capture card or DVD recorder.

No matter what you use, you'll have to edit out the black borders that surround the game picture and resize.

It's probably obvious to anyone who's played the game, but: wth is up with the kid? It's scary...

Notice how the first time the horse crashes, the boy says: "Daddy the demon is coming" (or something like that).

The boy is possessed by a demon, hense why you must rush home to um..... no idea, but that is why the boy looks 'scary' anyhow :-)

yupp also look up erlkonig on google and you'll see what many different paintings and pictures of the story and the perverted demon that tries to seduce the kid. The whole song is a story only this time in the games version its in japanese lol which was originally in german. The kid is supposed to die thats how the song ends but I guess you can save him in the game which is cool to.

It's based on a German poem by Goethe which was set to music by Schubert called "Der Erlkoing". (This is a Japanese translation, though.)

The song tells a story about a father whose trying to take his sick son to safety out of the rain storm. While they're riding, the child complains of seeing a ghostly figure called the Elf King, who keeps tempting him. Is it a hallucination or a real spirit? That's up to the listener. I would look it up on Youtube. :)
