¡Qué nostálgico es el comienzo del documental! El hijo de Bolaño muestra a la cámara las fotografías de su padre porque él ya no está. Es muy triste, pero Lautaro muestra las fotos con alegría porque todavía le recuerda y puede leer las novelas que él dejó.
La foto que más me gustó es la del minuto 01:01. ¡Roberto Bolaño sí que era un escritor muy simpático; era muy humorístico, pero a la vez inteligente!
I'm only now reading the reply to my question regarding english subtitles. I personally don't enjoy the fact that I have had to read most of my favorite literature as translations only, but I give credit to, Natasha WImmer for her two translations which I felt came as close as possible to the weight of the original word. Chris Andrews in my opinion extracts any nutrients that lives in the work, but others may feel differently. Literature is universal, as well as Bolano's interviews...
@alejoparqueable Is this your response to the non spanish readers who would never get a chance to read Bolano? Or Neruda? Marquez? Paz? etc? Tell this to the millions of people all over the world who would never have access to any great ideas coming from the spanish language for any number of reasons. There are translators who work as servants for literature & build bridges between countries, languages, cultures, ideas and they have a place in heaven. & then there is you, & you're just a dick.

@gingerberry85 Maybe (I don't know) but maybe your request caused a fuzz for its assertiveness: it seems like you give for granted that ther should be english subtitles. Translation probles occur either ways, and tones are not perceptable via internet, we all should always keep that in mind.

Bolaño es un gran escritor. "Putas asesinas", "Los detectives salvajes" y "La pista de hielo" me gustaron mucho. Es más, he recibido buenos comentarios de "2066". Era un romántico, un gran personaje. Pero no era poeta, "Los perros románticos" es un libro malísimo que tratan de exagerar los medios. Respetemos su memoria enel sitial que le corresponde, pero sin palabras marchitas ni tintas a medias. Desde hace más de 5 años hay la voluntad de volverlo un maldito a la fuerza.
Exactamente, ¿por qué indigar tanto en la vida personal del artista? Creo que cuando una obra inquieta, hace preguntas, el espectador busca respuestas en la vida del autor para calmar esa "inquietud" y dar respuestas a esas preguntas.
Cuando la verdad es que no hay respuestas, solo preguntas y que tan solo la obra ha de hablar sobre su autor.
La respuestas, si las hay, están en la realidad social del entorno que describe el autor. Indagar sobre el contexto socio-económico de donde surge la obra es correcto. Pero investigar lo privado, lo íntimo del autor, es un equívoco, más aun cuando el autor ha fallecido, pues más que un homenaje resulta una falta de respeto.
