@kentisawesomeness If you seriously don't see the point of flexible OLED, then I have no idea what to tell you. It is much more efficient then the current AMOLEDs screens right now in both power and heat. Cheaper to produce then LCDs, can be made into lenses for eyewear for both consumers and military use and much more.

Well I`m not sure if that`s fake or what. But that flexible screen is exactly what phones will need as they get thinner and thinner. thing is, everything else including the circuitry, battery and memory will need to be flexible too.

Can they do that and still keep the ability of the Iphone4S or the Samsung S2.

I`ll be surprised if they can do it in 5 years!

The biggest question would have to be are the specs up to par with other top screens of that size... If so then it is impressive if you don't have to sacrifice something to make it that way.

The next important thing to point out is the other serene had a glass cover over the actual screen and that is what shattered but the screen under the glass most Lilly broke too, but the flexible one will still need a glass cover like gorilla glass and it will face the same breakage issue.

@orika001 Bendable components would be a bigger issue, because there used to be functional PCB maps you could pull out of a magazine and make into functional PCBs. Flexibility there is not an issue. However, the ports and components would need to be minimized, and potentially flexible.

The long-run possibility is that there's a tiny strip towards the bottom that houses all the hard stuff, and the flexible battery and screen take up the most space and flex.

@Tater1004 Well, initially I think the big advantage is going to just be having phones that don't suffer from a broken screen every time they're breathed on wrong. Even gorilla glass is no match for a good smack face down onto some uneven pavement.
