  • I prefer the Ozzy Osbourne version over this one.

  • great cover! like both!

  • Axel would have paid money to write a song like this!!

    I'll lay traps for troubadours

who'll get killed before they reach the fame

    jejejeejejee

  • @Julen1998 Thought it was "before they reach Bombay"?

  • @GunsNRosified jejejeejee... and yes!!! it was the original version!!!

but Their Satanic Majesties can "get killed anybody when they want". jajajaja!!... and they (the devils) had also killed G&R before they reached "the fame" ... jajajajaaajajaja... At least, I think so...

but, sorry!! you don't consider the post seriously... it's only a bad joke!!

  • @Julen1998 Ok then.., sounds like you're stoned out of your mind, I guess the humour was over my head

  • gowno wielce nie smakowe bo różowe szpilki nie pasują do konia

  • furious guitars at 4:54, 5:53 and 6:44

  • The Stones' version was SO MUCH better, GNR really let me down with this one.

  • @ximnotDISTURBEDx

stones are stones i get it. the gunners completely shred this n make it their own

  • 18 people dont know what is music

  • Comment removed

  • this is the best song i've ever heard

  • i like this version better. i think Axl's voice fits better to this song!

  • This is better than the other version in my own opinion. I think Axl's voice is better.

  • Slash said in his book that this was a perfect example of what it sounds like when a band breaks up. I don't see what the big deal is, i actually like this song.

  • @ruffles272 he said that only in begining of song he played guitar rest of it was played by some other guitar players

  • G n R is my drug of choice

  • "If you want to hear what a band breaking up sounds like, listen to Sympathy for the Devil."- Axl Rose

  • haha i imagine what will hapen when guns and roses kick on doors!!! i think doors will kick open and kick then streight to hell !!!!

  • Not really a big fan of this GnR cover either... Knockin on Heaven's Door is really their only cover I like...

  • I think the guns are one of the best band ever and axl was an amazing singer.... but in this cover doesn't seem like the guns n roses I know.... any way play like the rolling stones is fucking hard so!!!!

  • Wy cant we like BOTH????? BOTH kick ass...... I will say though, nothing touches the original...not by any fault of the GNR cover....its just that the Stone's version is one of the best songs ever!!!

  • He's taking a poop on the classics...but GnR rocks, so whatever lol

  • And I never forgot to drink my milk, thank you Guns N Roses

  • Mick jagger's vocals are much better, but this is an okay cover.

  • @joedalton155 mick jagger aint got shit compared to axl's ability vocally, are you deaf?

  • @jedsebastian he's just giving his opinion, and I agree with him.

  • @jedsebastian I'm not deaf, I just have a different opinion than yours, and i think mick jagger fits way better on this song

  • @joedalton155 my bad, i was just carried away, big gn'r fan here.

  • @jedsebastian No prob, i love both gnr and rolling stones, but i prefer the last one :)

  • @joedalton155

    to correct your comment:

    Mick Jaggers vocals are:

    1 a completely different style

2 from a completely different era (a decade is now an era in itself)

3 suit this song better than Axls, partly because Jaggers version was the original

the sound of a band breaking up is still better than chinese democracy ^^....

maybe flick over to a different song by GnR and enjoy its brilliance?

  • U PEOPLES KNOW ABOUT WHO HE SINGS RIGHT ?

u people know about who he sings right ???

Pleased to meet i hope u gess my name ==?

  • i like this cover better then the original but the rollingstones are great too

  • Dindn't know gun's sung this song, but looks like pretty one...

  • Click here if Interview with the Vampire brought you here!

  • slash is right, the double solo in this song sucks. it would of been better if he played it on his own.

  • merci les guntz de nous mettre vos liens. Comment pouvez vous imaginez que y a des gents si gentils que ça qui te mettent tout the gnr story avec la pochette hein et tout just passqucé des tox? Comment les medcs pouvais vous imaginer ça? Alors moi je dis merci les guntz to do dis nice to kneess you. . Chante axl je te suis de pas si loin. Love bab

  • I like all of the orignal Guns N' Roses, but the only thing makeing this song good is Slash. Axl just can't do Rolling Stones.

  • "Symphathy"?

  • @H057IL3 How did it take 2 years for someone to figure that out

  • @UnOficialGNR Haha, I would have thought someone else in comments would have already XD

  • @UnOficialGNR please correct the description ^^

  • @UnOficialGNR

Hey man, the number of people commenting on your spelling xD

you have good taste in music.

  • thumbs up Lestat brought you here!!!

  • Thumbs up it black ops brought you here!

  • @kparkerTV the one in black ops is sung by the rolling stones which is the original version

  • stones is better :P but this is very good aswell ;P

  • much better than that old fart Jagger!!

  • Thank you so much for all the Guns n' fuckin Roses you posted on here - Your cool!!!!!! - Bless you ; )

  • i prefer Rolling stones version, because the vocals are better on the original. This one isnt bad, but remember you cant beat the classics.

    Example:

just one fix came before du hast therefor its better

    same concept applies

  • OOooOOoooowa - I fuckin' LIKE this man!!!!!!!

  • held the generals rank when the blitzkrieg raid. Great line

  • I have this single but what for freaky thing is 'escape to paris'. Is that song realy GN'R

  • OOo OOooowa!!!

  • Rollin' Stones my Arse - Guns n' Fuckin' Roses Dude!!!

  • why the fuck is everyone fighting. I'm going to go a little Axl for a sec. LISTEN UP YOU MOTHER FUCKERS, QUIT FIGHTING LIKE LITTLE BITCHES AND ENJOY THE MUSIC .

  • I prefer this version than the version of rolling stones. And in Italy the Guns N 'Roses will never die! Their spirit will always remain alive in the hearts of those who love them! W Guns N' Roses

  • The sound of a band split up.

This song was a main cause for the break up between Slash and Axl.

  • Better than Keith n' Mick man!!! ; )

  • @indoorsun take meds man

  • @GabeGuitarr Yeah rite dude!

  • thumb up if you knew this song before blackops !! ...

  • @nounaisxoxox quit tryin 2 get thumbs up and get a life

  • @junglechick100 quit trying to be cool

  • @junglechick100 OK shut up i just wanna know how much ppl knew that song b4 black ops .. so quit crying about what I want and live YOUR life how YOU want .. thanks

  • @nounaisxoxox its my favorite song of all time, so i knew it.

  • I visit this video daily just to drop a like and jizz my paints.

  • Tbh, I like this version way better.

  • BLACKOPS!!!!

  • @Dunkninja exactly ! hahaahaha

  • @Dunkninja roling stones

  • @Dunkninja if you heard this song in black ops and nothing else then you dont know music. This is an epic classic and this cover by gnr is a really good one.

  • @xboxlover100 blackops isnt the first place i heard it, just the first place i could actually research the name from

  • 16 people don´t have simpathy for the devil of rock n roll :/

  • i like the rolling stones version better but this is pretty darn close!

  • @mynameisandrew962 This one is better.

  • @mynameisandrew962 this version is better and covers are supposed to be different

  • @boshnar2k11 You can't tell me which version is better because it's all based on opinion dude. I like the Rolling stones version better, you like the Guns n Roses version better. That's fine.

  • i loved this song on black ops in the boat...=)

  • @crazypigeon100 And nuke town! ;)

  • Don't like many covers of great songs. Even if it is by a great band like GNR. All listening to this does is make me want to hear the original. Or the altamont one....the sound and bass in that one + environment etc., it's just amazing (Rolling Stones Sympathy for the Devil Altamont).

  • This is a good cover, but it can't top the original by The Rolling Stones... at all...

  • the sound of the band break-up,well this is still better than CHINESE DEMOCRASY

  • @gnrgods do what i did, go listen to Chinese democracy as if its a whole new band to you, instead of thinking 'THIS ISNT GUNS AND ROSES!' try thinking that its a band and it the first time you have ever heard them and its actually okay, its still not good tohugh... :)

  • @gnrgods I still loved Chinese Democracy.

It's an awesome album, just not the traditional GnR sound.

  • @gnrgods people like you are douches. Democracy was mostly Axl's album of course its not going to sound like the old gnr nothing can not even if they do have a reunion stop complaining about it if you dont like it then dont give it the time of day to talk about it douche

  • @gnrgods i know democracy is just a bunch of shit but some songs are pretty damn good

  • @gnrgods I like Axl's SOLO ALBUM, called Chinese DemocraCy ;)

  • Is this song from the rolling stones or guns n roses??

  • @mrTimZman Stones made it first

  • @mrTimZman Thats why it says guns n roses at the top dumbass... -.-

  • @kanemain97 hey moron. If you can't give a usefull answer, go fuck yourself.

  • the original is better, this is a little too much ... i dont know... bad?

love GnR but dont like like this cover that uch, its ok

  • what came first. this or the stones one. i like the stones one better but i still wanna know

  • @LLDJ1997 Stone's version Duh

  • @777jnp777 yeah i thought so coz this one is fucking shit when the stones one is their best song

  • ;)

  • I think this song is very good, and for a cover it is great. But it just sounds so over-produced, and overdone. Compared to the original which compared to this is actually a bit subdued, this doesn't quite have the gritty feel the original has. Its a bit artificial and forced. However on its own, I do think its very good, and I listen t it as much as the original. Comparing, its not quite there like the original

  • Interview For The Vampire \,,/_

  • this sucks compared to the original

  • To be honest this was terrible. Axl just can`t pull this off, doubt anyone but Mick can do it.

  • Axl does mcjagger so well lol

  • i loved rollign stones butr this cover is amazing i liked ronnie and keith!!!!

  • hope you guess my name........................

  • @warhorse10874 They'll always roll

  • @warhorse10874 Rolling Stones

  • @warhorse10874

there are songs that they play even longer then Knockin´on Heven´s Door and they stick to original interpretation. Knockin´... on the other hand is clear example that Axl adopted almost completely different interpretation of the song, one that is much closer to the original. That is all I meant.

  • I cant help myself but GNR cover, with all respect to all those great covered artist, take the song to next level. They basically take great song, put GNR touch to it and made it even better.

Then, when they attempt to actually play the song in way the original artist did it, it is much, much worse. Best example is Knockin on Heaven's Door. The way they played it 1986-1993 is sooo much better than interpretation from 2006 and later, which is sounds much more like Clapton's original

  • @zivadira its a dylan original dick nose, not clapton, fucking asshat!

  • @MrColbrot No, it is not a dylan original, it is Dylan´s original. Thank you for politely correcting me

  • good but nothing to compare with the rolling stones :p

  • yeah he said it...what a shame and i used to believe that every time you meet the devil a band is born...

  • this song has such a sinister feel.. so its ironic that this is the "sound of a band breaking up"

  • Comment removed

  • So, slash didn't play in this song? :/

  • @GreenTabarnak Supposedly, Axl's friend Paul Huge was on this song and Slash hated him and didn't want to work with him. I think Slash quit after this song. It sounds like his guitar tone playing the lead guitar solo, but he's basically playing the original solo, so it's hard to hear any Slash trademarks.

  • @GreenTabarnak Actually, at the end you can tell it's Slash by some of the scales he's playing, they're total Slash-isms :)

  • this is a great cover, it is so much more sinister than the original. complain all you like slash, this is good

  • I prefer the rolling stones version

  • love the beatles version but this one rocks 2 !

  • @NoNoteMusician

uhhh......the rolling stones version is good too............ :)

  • i love Guns N' Roses, but this! no, this was such a downhill..

    i can't take this version..

  • hail satan :)

  • slash doesnt even play guitar for this song. axl had the rythm guy after gilby play guitar over slash's playing

  • what album was this on....besides the greatest hits....

  • @stickshift217 none this was made for a vampire movie for Tom Cruise i think

  • @stickshift217 "the spaghetti incident"

  • @stickshift217 it was recorded for a movie

  • why post negative when slash was involved....if he didnt wanna do it he woulda backed out....demise of slash was underground comedy movie which i love anyway!!!!!!

  • @ItsChrispyTv who cares?

i wont let that effect my opion on the song.

  • You people do realise that Slash says that this version of the song is when GN'R broke up right?

  • @edavenport93 yes we do, but what's your point? Get over it and enjoy the music

  • You people do realise that slash hates this version of the song he says that this song is the moment GN'R brle up.

  • This is the song where you could really tell how badly they were falling apart

  • This is great. it takes the stones version and makes it totally awsum. the ending is so epic

  • i just love them!!!

  • hehe...Two Guns N' Two Roses

    love this cover

  • 9 people dont have sympthy for the devil.

  • great cover....god....its like the devil himself is singing...

  • Guns make this song so much mroe sinister, it's got a really badass vibe to it and I think that's what this song is about. Stones are legends but their version doesn't make me feel the way I do when I here this one!

  • hoo hoooo!

  • .....this doesn't come close to the original version

  • When I read in Slash's autobiography that this song sounded exactly like a band on the edge of breaking up, I was surprised. I LOOOOOVE this cover ! I still love it, Slash's opinion didn't change mine, but it's weird to know that he actually HATES it when you LOVE it :P

Personnaly, GNR were the new Rolling Stones. Except, the Mick Jagger can show up on time, and isn't an ass.

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe He actually hates alot of the songs g'n'r played, like 1 in a million tho for different reasons. Alex forced dem ta play wat he wanted, which in my personnaly i dont think done dem any harm.

  • @joshsherlock1 its axl

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe Haha, a lot of people agreed about that 'new Rolling Stones' thing, even Ozzy Osbourne.

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe the only songs slash really liked where on paradise city. after that he just liked playing he didnt like anything else

  • @rogatoga Oh yeah, Slash only like Paradise City.

NOT. He said it was his favourite Guns song, not the only one he loves. I think he pretty much loved the whole AFD album, and surely à couple from UYI I & II.

  • @rogatoga im sure he's a huge Chinese Democracy fan ;)

  • @Lukith66 arent we all =P

  • @rogatoga i actually love it :P

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe init i know where your coming from

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe F@cking well said!!!!!!

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe Except Axl Rose is handsome and does not have a monkey face :)

And Guns N Roses look like real men,not some twisted-gene boys from UK :)

  • @TheNaturalAlpha Ahh well, yeah, Mick Jagger isn't that pretty, but I wouldn't like to see a new face singing for The Rolling Stones. And i'm sure that when the Stones were THE shit, groupies didn't mind his face :P

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe Well, I'm pretty sure, I don't mind Rolling Stones nor Mick Jagger. They are awesome.

But why bitching on Axl ? :)

  • @TheNaturalAlpha

Slash was born in England, which makes him English and I'm admittedly not 100% sure but the last time I looked England was in the UK, maybe it still is :)

  • @psaxxon well said :)

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe

Yeah, I was never really that big on The Rolling Stones and I can't really see the similarities (apart from the same genre), but yes, Axle Rose can't read his watch or something. :)

  • @OrgasmicPotatoe

This must have been said before but I'm reasonably sure Slash hates it because his track was taken out, the lead you're hearing is Paul Tobias.

  • Please allow me to introduce myself

I'm a man of wealth and taste

  • idc wat anyones says this version kicks ass, wheather it made th band break up or not th guitar is sick and th overall song has a nice, demented backtone tht brought out wat guns was

  • i hate the beginning. wtf is this tarzan or some shit?

  • @littleprincesslaylee have you ever heard the real version?

  • @zsc5438 YES!!!
