We had tenants try this very thing. They couldn't get enough speed up to clear the eand of the ramp. When they finally figured that out they kept hitting the far side of the pool and emptying it out. They sure didn't have a fancy looking set up, just a blue tarp as the ramp and the same type of pool. Funny to watch, however!

yeah, we discussed this in our physics class. Our substitute knew one of the guys doing this experiment, one of the guys on the side of course, the dude flying wanted to prove that his knowledge of physics was better than everyone else's. Therefore did this experiment. They calculated the friction, air resistance and a whole bunch of stuff to get this right. Im not sure if they did this experiment with a dummy first need to ask the substitute. That's why i know this is real

This is real and very possiable, although i think i recally this specific video being fake. It is very simple to manipulate physics to determine how fast you will be travelling at the end of the ramp and how far away the pool should be placed using kinemetic equations... :P
