  • doesnt the lady of shalott die from a curse thats put on her? i thought she wasnt allowed to leave her house... but then oneday she saw the king pass by outside her window and fell inlove with him. so she risked death to travel down the river to meet him but died before she reached his castle. my favorite painting ever.

  • Who painted it?

  • john william waterhouse. it's at the tate gallery london

  • well done

  • its a waterhouse painting by the way.

  • Could you tell me what chords you are playing for the Paul Simon lick ?

  • jesus saves my friend.

  • very nice clip, simple and powerful

  • beautiful version of a beautiful song. thanks

  • very good!

  • Howd you get that phazing effect

  • Lovely....

  • fantastic version of this beautiful old song!

  • Oh I love that painting, my moms best friend has a huge one on her living room wall- is there a name for that painting or anything???

  • The Lady of Shalott: painting by J W Waterhouse in 1888

  • the woman looks like the one in the last of the mohicans when they are on the boats then i saw yur message, this is a painting? lovely

  • Looks like the work of Scottish artist John Duncan. Its interesting how ethnic inspired art shows a common human spirit/experience even though the styles are, on the surface, radically dissimilar.

  • She is sacrificing herself, because of the death of her husband. She will float out to sea and parrish into the night without fear.

  • It's the famous painting of the Lady of Shallot...actually.

The Lady Elaine from Arthurian legend immortalised in the Tennyson poem. A highly appropriate painting for this song.

  • OMG!!!!

    Nice background tho!!

  • u r AMAZING

  • churning my heart...beautiful song..I miss u Emy

  • Very nice:)

  • Wow, great version! Made my day. Thanks -Ron
