There is no way to absolutly know the original source of where the dialects come from and which one is true (Hmong) if there is such a thing. @doggi3d3mon You would be surprised to find out how many different sub-groups comprise our Hmong peeps in China. There is no way to absolutly know the original source of where the dialects come from and which one is true (Hmong) if there is such a thing. Our Hmong peeps have been mixed with many other Asian minorities in China... It would be super impossible to know where we come from, let alone which dialect is the right one.

it is not a big deal, it just that no white hmong ever speak, sing, or write in green but all the green always sing, speak, and write in white. AND it is good because we want to form ONE dialect in order to unit into ONE people.

we're not weak. It's good to speak both dialects. I find it rather intriguing to speak both Green and White. Unfortunately, those that can't speak both will find it stupid -- but those that can, it's call capability -- not stupid. If you are not weak, then you should speak your own dialect. I can see the capable of both dialects but always speak hmong der in puplic and only speak hmong leng in private is weak and stupid. If you are not embarrassing to speak or wirte your own dialect, then why not do it? you are not even capable to write Hmong Leng in here but write Hmong der perfectly. I must support you to ditch your own dialect and jump to the white side.

Don't be jealous, the only thing I'd really care here is that we're all Hmong so no matter the dialect, we shouldn't argue just because of this. Plus you sound like a white guy trying to convert us into something we're not.

It's good that you're proud because you know how others are too. It may be your wording thats not going right, anyway this will not end the green dialect, but will end the arguement about green vs white..And I'd appreciate ppl to be mature about this because sometimes we tend to say or write things that aren't meant to be offensive, but only a minority of human beings accept such things so in that case keep things to yourselves please. ^^ Thank you.

Kuv tsis mind yuav nws li nkauj as long as it in hmong der dialect. Not only recorded materials but also written materials are done in white hmong now. if this continue a bit longer, green hmong will disppear for good. The disppearance of green hmong is good for hmong as a whole because we want to unit into ONE-hmong-and speak white dialect only.

every print I see out there, every sign and banner I see out there, every recording I see out there, ALL the singers out there are all done in hmong der. AND you said hmong leng dialect will never go away? don't kid yourself. Dr. Nyaj Lwm Vaaj, a hmong leng translated all his materials from sacramento school district into hmong der only. Lee Pao Xiong, a hmong leng from Concordia University uses hmong der only. No one else is left with hmong leng. so don't kid yourself.

Thats very true, Hmong people learned ABC's from French traveler whom help the Hmong people be recognise. In fact, Hmong people's lagnuage now isn't the actual language. To flee from their enemies, Hmong people had changed more than half of their customes and mixed other languages into their dialects. Some languages used are, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, lation, Thai, Mongolians, ets. Some Hmong still lives in South China and their language is more real than the greens and whites.

The writing of what you see today in Hmoob is French when the French Empire conquer Indochina. The Hmoob didn't have a writing system that is why French missionary came up with a system. Hmong writing system was developed by western missionary and not by French. And it is based on Latin characters. French writing looks like this: À ç é ê ë ï û. I have never seen any Hmong word that uses accent mark on top of a character. BUT the arguement here is not where Hmong writing was from. IS IT why Hmong Leng are so ass kissing. Even you as a Hmong Leng is still uses word HMOOB and NOT MOOB.
