I live in Vancouver and can see the Sapphire Princess from my parents deck when it comes in. It looks huge. I also drove to the terminal down at sea level and I was a rock's throw away from it. Huge ship for sure. I myself however would take a cruise on a warm climate so Alaska with a coat is not my cup of tea. Beautiful ship inside.

Well they are not sister ships but they look a lot the same. you cannot tell that much but the emerald is bigger that the Sapphire.

Actually, I went on the Emerald too, and the Sapphire is slightly heavier, which means its bigger.

Emerald=113,000GT

Sapphire=116,000GT

@garlex134 hmm are u sure about this im pretty sure its not cause i asked the captain im pretty sure he doenst make mistakes like that so emerald would be bigger. or maybe wat ur saying maybe emerald is longer but sapphire is wider than emerald ? or higher

Well, according to stats, the Sapphire Princess is heavier. However, the captain of the Emerald might mean the floor space, amenities etc.

Im going to go on the Sapphire on March for Mexico even though Ive been there three times already. I have sailed on Sapphire's Sister ship Diamond Princess. They are both beautiful ships.

I really enjoyed that cruise ship. I went with my family in early February of 2006. One year before I got married on Valentines day. I hadn't even met my husband yet. LOL. Than in November of 2007, we went on the Golden Princess. Another beautiful ship. I really like Princess Cruises.

Great Video, we boarded the Sapphire Princess on Sept. 20th 2008 in Vancouver, for the 7 night Pacific Coastal Cruise, Vancouver to Los Angeles. We loved it. What a magnificent ship!!! Really enjoyed your video.
