It's cut up to get the best 'driver quotes' etc into the final footage from all the laps. Which is why, in turn and as someone noticed, the seat actually changes between shots. They might have swapped to the spare car for a few of those laps and footage was captured and spliced from that car.

Once they have enough 'footage' from all the laps, they give the go ahead to shut off and once they've done the X amount of laps, they go into the studio. Something I didn't know until I read it, was that it's actually all done in one day. When they're in the studio, they've literally JUST come from outside doing the laps.
