Well, they wouldn't have called it 'Homeland Security' in the 1950s, remembering all too well the Third Reich's self-referential 'Fatherland,' they'd've stayed away from such fascist-sounding terminology.
Yet the American Government does call the ideas and concepts shown in this movie as "Homeland Security" these days. 30 years ago they called it "Strategic Defense". In the context of viewing the movie today the term "Homeland Security" is quite valid however I'll bow to 1950's patriotism and remove the reference from the title :-)
@wdtvlive42 Oh, you didn't have to change anything... I was just being cranky. Strategic Defense _is_ a much better term, but then, we had much better executive and legislative leaders back then than as of late.
