Manny would beat Mayweather for 2 reasons.
1. He's faster
2. He's stronger (as said by Mosley)
Mayweather's defense wouldn't be as successful against Manny because of his speed and strength, and that's pretty much all Mayweather has to fall back on. If his defense doesn't play in, he would simply lose.
I honestly think Mayweather knows this, which is why he has been blatantly ducking Manny for the past few years.

Fist, pacquiao does hit harder than many boxers. pacquiao is fast . He can threw a lot of punches in a few seconds. Floyd has a tremendous reach advantage and his best punch is his straight right hand. He will use it to pot shot Manny and ruin his rhythm. Mayweather also has a very good inside game, something that Pacquiao lacks.
And best of all, Mayweather has good footwork. He wont stay in front of Manny when Manny lands. He will move away from the punches, get some space.

Part II,...Come on people, the only quality that I hate and admire from mayweather is his ducking technique. I believe though that when he and pacquiao fights, pacquiao will be hit a lot but will not back down and may not be knock out. Mayweather will be in absolute defensive mode. A lot of fans will ""boooo"" him. If pacquiao can't figure out how to get through mayweather's defensive mode then maybe mayweather will win by points but that is very low. probably 40 out of 100.

He also explained why pacquaio's punching style is very different. I believe he was being truthful when he said these. Mayweather is not a risk taker. His quality even in real life is someone who is very defensive. He ducks inyerviews about him and pacquiao. He avoids fighting with pacquiao because the risk is big.
