  • I saw Jason at Myrtle Beach during the summer of 2011....He is an awesome person, and yes he does reckonize his fans while he is on stage. While I was backstage just before Jason was to enter the stage, I ask him if he would take some pictures. He kindly agreed, while ignoring his band members to go on stage. Now, my friend jokes with me that I made Jason late for his own show...LOL....I love this song but sadden about Brittany.

  • I was at his Kannapolis, NC concert and he told is to check this out....I can't be more sorry than I am now. Jason is a great singer and a great person indeed! He actually noticed me when I was holding a lighter up when he was singing Alyssa lies. Awesome man....can't be more happier. I am truly sorry for the tragedy that happend with Brittany....it's a sad story and it's great that he put that into his show! I LOVE YOU JASON!

  • OMG JASON MICHEAL CARROLL IS AMAZING LOVE HIM

  • soo sad, Jason talked about this at thw Winston Salem Dixie classic fair, in his home state NC :) october 4, 2010.

    he was amazing in everyway.

  • that is really sad jason just talked about brittany at our auroras farmers fair october 3, 2010 it was really sad to hear about it and when i read it it was very sad jason is a sweetheart i got a tour of his bus and he sung to me and held my hand i got pictures with him and hes so sexy but hes a familly man and friend who cares so much about having a good time and not worryin so much about the pitty stuff jason you are amazin and dearborn county hopes to see you again in a farther concert!!!

  • i've talked to him in person and i swear he is the most down to earth person i have ever met..

  • aww when he sung this 2night it bout made me cry :[

  • He seems like such a good hearted guy! I saw him at ribfest in Sioux Falls and he put on the best show, I am officially a fan.

  • cool video!

  • THIS SONG WAS WRITTEN BY PATRICK DAVIS ABOUT CAMDEN,SC! I live down the street from where Patrick Davis grew up. The wooden white church he refers to is just down the street from my house. I can ride my bike there. Camden took state in 1964. Too bad Patrick. That was a good little rhyme. I am on the Camden High School JV football team, and I take guitar lessons from his father. I'm rooting for you Patrick. Bring Charles back around here some time it was cool to see all of you in concert.

  • lol he was Lip-synching! 1:23 - 1:26 hes still awesome though

  • i can assure you jmc never lip-synch's live...

  • He wasn't lip-synching. The video was him playing the song live and the music was the actual recorded song added to the video.

  • love every single word of the song, cept the whole ford thing, i like chevys and dodges

  • ahh, the older fords, you know older than 1986, when they were carburated, are still good. my '82 got the ever famous 300 ci inline 6. new trucks, gotta go with chevy though

  • i like the older fords from way back in the day. i love cars from the 50s the most though just because theyre pretty colored and cool lookin and it looks like if you to get in a crash in one you would actually survive

  • the 60's had good cars too, 67-69 Chevelle SS with the 396, 454 big block

  • "Where the trucks a Ford, and the tractors green" yeah thats defiantly something I could relate to. I am a Ford guy owned them all my life, and love them. Great work trucks. Case, and John Deere are the only way to go... oh and New Holland to...

  • hot!

  • Congratulations Patrick. JMC is a great match for this song. Keep it climbing brother!

    God bless, Angie

  • Love the song! It is going to be another hit for you. This song hits so many people on such a deep level. We just found out a very dear friend has been told they have lung cancer but she is up for the fight and Jason you have given her so many good memories. Thank you

  • awesome jason. i miss you!

  • I love this song! Jas you are one amazing talent! I thank you for giving me the love of country music! Before I met you I was not a fan of country and just to think of all I would have missed were it not for you! Blessings to you and Wendy! Thanks!

  • Ok, so I'm from this little town in Georgia called Ellaville. I only lived there until I was 4 but my mother and father's families still live there and I love to visit. When I heard this song I had to cry. Our family's chuch is wooden and white. The court house clock has never worked. My middle name is from my grandmother. I have a pretty bad accent, but that's 'where i'm from' and I'm proud of it. This song is AMAZING! Thank you for recoding it!!!

  • You know, it's amazing how some people can relate to this song..down to every little detail..it's just awesome..He's my idol, and the only song i can relate to is Tears, in a sort of way..

  • Well, I think I fit every little detail...haha. Jason was at the Opry the first time I went in 07 and I love how deep his voice is. I used to love Billy Ray Cyrus and I couldn't really relate to any of his songs either. lol.

  • yeah, you're the only person who i've talked to who can relate in every detail lol.. or at least the people that explain it,lol.

  • When I first played this song for Jason I had no idea just how close the lyrics were to certain events in his actual life... and even now it still amazes me.

So... JMC I believe that just maybe the man upstairs sent Joe Leathers and I this song so that you could sing it for all to hear.

"Where I'm From" is not just my song, or Joe's song or Jason's song... it's our song... and by "our" I mean all of us. :)

    Much Love

    PD
