The cost of gas upfront is reason alone to get one anymore. I dont care WHERE or WHAT is burned @ the electricity plant to make power I just want to spend less @ the pump so henceforth am looking at this and the all electric ford focus. It's not so much about the environment, its just more or less about saving money on gas.

That's the reason why there are alternative energy that are being used right now,like the wind,solar,nuclear & so forth that are being fed to the main grid & consume by the consumers.The cost of plugging a Plug-in Hybrid is less than $0.50 per gallon as compare to $2.00 per gallon for gasoline.If the Electrict power plant in the US will be powered by coal alone then I will not agree w/ the technology because coal pollutes alot.

The 1st gen. Prius' main power comes from internal combustion engine and the electricity comes in only as a supplement, while the Plug-in Hybrid's main power comes from electrict motor while the gas engine is the supplement.There's a big difference in gas consumption between the two system obviously the Plug-in consumes less fuel than the 1st gen Prius.
That's the point of turning into Plug-in Prius.

If God wanted us to drive these cars he wouldnt have given us oil in the ground we can just take. Liberals make everything cost more. All we need is to win the war and we will have all the oil we want. If iran or saudi arabia starts terrorism we can nuke them and take the oil. Then we wont need these expensive cars. I don't have to pay for the military so I'm not worried about it. But I do have to pay for this car so I don't like it.
