  • WHAT A KICK ASS GROOVE THAT RAIN IN THE TUNNEL IS!!

  • 0 bieber fans!

  • Where did you get this video D:

  • Infernal Style.

  • Such a great player. Really had his own voice and separated himself from the pack back in the day.

  • Master! Just Magics

    Great perfomance

    the great One

  • This guy is not only a GENIOUS in the scales and such, but he is a MASTER SONGWRITER! Thsi guy has taste.

  • Awesome, an other underrated and talented guy. Thanks for posting that.

  • nice arpeggios with tap at 8:00 !!!

  • Does he do'', The saragossa sea", in this live show?

  • Most people in that audience are so dumb..You are supposed to clap when your marveled...

  • @dannyhood66 They were all too busy standing around with their arms crossed saying they could do it better. (old guitarist joke)

  • WOW!!!!!!

  • LAME ASS audience!

  • Great version his live stuff sounds 3xs better then CD version.

  • i agree with the first song, but i think the studio version of rain in the tunnel was better then the live version.

but to be honest im surprised he can even play his tunes live lol, there so damn hard.

  • what an unique guitarplayer

  • Firkins is one of those players who is instantly recognizable!! As soon as he starts playing, you know it's him!

  • I love when instrumental guitarists play with discernable melodic lines! Melody with technical skill; Firkins is a great guitarist.

  • Is he sweeping without a pic???

  • this guy is awesome, imo his talent is good enought to be cosidered in the same level of quality of Vai, Satch, Morse and all those heavy weight guys

  • Good enough? I think hes better. No one else play even similar to him. He took guitar to another level.

  • where and when was this???

this conceert has like every song on his debut

  • I thought he was using a slide too!

  • No, he doesn't play slide, he has this unique sliding-fluid style, very personal and speciall, great player, verry underrated

  • @Soulmaster420

He slides a lot while using his whammy bar,. Although he's playin' lots of thirds/sixths. They are a lil' bit trademarked to his sound.

  • Can't understand why this guy never got more recognition... A total guitar player, not just one style.

  • Michael Lee Firkens and Greg Howe really stood out among the Shrapnel Records crew...Michael's country licks are so fresh fused with fusion metal.

  • you gotta love those whammy tricks. At first, I thought he was using a slide when i was listening to this.

  • I love those 2 songs. I'm glad they are available on YouTube.

  • I know! they're so awesome!

  • fuck that lick from 8:01 to 8:08 still stumps me..

  • i can hear some JEFF BECK INFLUENCE HERE!SOUNDS AMAZING

  • simply awesome!!!!

  • any know what bridge pup hes using here?

  • What is a bridge pup?

  • the pickup closest to the bridge...

  • i think its a duncan jb

  • What an amazing player had his tape years ago, I just loved it.

One of best players to pick up a guitar.

  • Man..I remember getting guitar lessons from MLF back when I was in hs before he did the self titled cd...He's an awesome player

  • The band is weak, but MLF is spot on! I love this CD!

  • I love the riff for Space Crickets, Firkins is one of my favourites :)

  • dude... space crickets... what a name lol i dig already

  • yeaah rain in the tunnel...what a solo... I want the tabs:)

  • I love this guy - zianamp, you are the SHIT for posting this. Thanks!!!

  • Thats awesome, id really wish he'd come down Toronto and play a show id love to see him live.

  • Jeez man where do you find these videos, thats classic, anyone know what MLF is doing nowadays?

  • Just saw Mike in Omaha last Week. Has a new album comming out in a week or two (magnatude Records) I heard clips, Sounds great! He even sings black betty! Lots more slide guitar! Peace!

  • This was one more great tape I lost years ago. He did an appearance at the National Guitar Summer Workshop in New Milford, CT back in like 90(?) my friend got to go up an jam with him onstage, trading licks back and forth. Very nice guy. Afterwards he hung out just talking etc - no attitude whatsoever.

  • That's "Space Crickets" (until 3:45), followed by "Rain in the Tunnel". Both off of M.L.F.'s first solo album.

  • Thank you again :)

  • nice, great guitarist player
