sweet thanks man you given me heaps of help, i will go to that website. i think you've been skating with one of my mates geofrry tempar and i think he was the one to smash the front of his board haha. and im thinking of going to eagle this or next weekend with some mates. i hope to meet you some day thanks
hit up the old freeway dude, "Eagle on the Hill". its actually a lot slower than it looks especially if you do it in sections. in this video we are taking it from the very top. when we first started we were just doing the middle section starting where the mountain bike track carpark is (in the video starting at 2:22) and finishing where it levels off (the end of the video). we wouldn't even hit 50 on a windless day and the good thing about it is there is plenty of runoff, so you don't....
....have to do any braking. you just keep riding until you come to a casual stop (starting at the end of the video). then you just pick your board up and walk back up the hill and go again. the good thing about this part of the hill is you can do it as slow or fast as you like, just work your way up the hill and as you get more comfortable start higher and higher. its also separated from oncoming traffic and there are barely ever any cars, so its super safe to learn on....
....join - skateboardracing (dot) org (dot) au - thats where you'll find a bunch of us Adelaide longboarders. we organise weekly sessions on Sundays, with experienced riders and beginners. so check it out. we always love riding with new people.
