  • "Lessons with him can be very painful" wow... Compassionate my ass. I'm glad learning is based on fear and not learning quickly enough results in pain.

  • The "essence" of tai chi, is the complete qigong and neikung meditations that enable you to develop your jing, which is your internal power. Its not chi like most people think it is , we all have chi and people can not feel your chi(even if you draw more in from the universe) ,they can only feel your jing! cultivating your jing inside of you to be able to inflict some damage on some physical object or person requires the correct secret trainings and alot of time and effort.

  • Comment removed

  • @KelGhu Im sure you dont have any internal power and that you are just repeating what you read somewhere, its ok though there are alot like you and its not your fault. You need to transform the chi you have drawn in from the universe into jing through special practices to be able to inflict damage on someone or send them flying, as i said people cannot feel your chi even if you practice qigong and have alot circulating inside of you, it needs to be transformed.Class is closed, goodbye

  • @oscie1

I actually removed my comment way before you answered. I did that because I realized it was not constructive. I still don't agree with you. But this is a difference in teaching. I perpetuate my father's teaching he received from Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang and it is probably a little modified. We go the other way, Jing to Chi to Shen. And I do teach Tai Chi. Sorry, but I don't think you're as knowledgeable as you may think you are. But some tui shou should settle this.

  • @KelGhu Ha ha these sneaky chinese masters have gotten everyone confused with their distorted information.Ive read this shit all over the place, this is my last comment and im not replying afterwards I know what im talking about, you dont.I can bet my life on it you cant take a punch to the torso from a man weighing over 100kg.

  • This man seems to have missed the point of Taoism all together. "I want to be a God" "I want" "I want" - Taoism is not about "wanting" or forcing an outcome to happen...

  • the guy in black headgear wants to live forever and be a taoist god ?? lmao.

  • I think I found my way.

  • So much respect for this lady. You never see that coming from a pope, a bishop, cardinal or priest from the Vatican.

  • Good lady.

  • but the wu-tang is from shaolin

  • @KNGKZM No, from Emei (Daoists)

  • Wudang is one evolution of shaolin, just as shaolin is an evolution of qi gong which is itself an evolution of yoga. Chen Tai Chi and the Wudang Tai Chi's are the highest evolution of martial art. I believe that Yoga (warmup), Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and shaolin forms must all be practiced together to produce the ultimate martial artist/attain long life. My next mission is to find a good Chen style teacher and one day I would like to go to Mt Wudang. It is affordable.

  • @zigzigerblat

Most qi gongs are evolutions of yoga but some are distinct sects that were not influenced by Buddhism but existed since the days of the founding of Taoism.

  • @Intranetusa My knowledge of the matter has a slight difference. To my knowledge the Bodhidarma came to Shaolin Temple and he saw that the monks were not fit to meditate and would actually pass out and sleep. He wanted to stay but they would not take him permanently so he meditated in a cave for nine years and created Qi Gong from his yoga. He taught it to the monks and they got in shape and took him in and it evolved into kung fu. At Wudang Mt the founder of tao further evolved both to tai chi.

  • @zigzigerblat

Correct about the first part but not about the founder of Tao. Bodhidarma taught Yoga and Mahayana Buddhism to the monks...forming the basis for Shaolin martial arts. This Buddhism later combined with Taoism to form Zen Buddhism...

The founder of Taoism is Lao Tzu from the 6th century BCE, which is around the same time that Buddha lived. There were already some pre-existing martial arts that was derived from Taoism.

WuDang's history occurs thousands of years later

  • @Intranetusa The founder of all surviving taoist martial arts is Zhang Sanfeng from the 12th century AD. When I said the founder of Tao I was wrong, I meant the founder of all surviving taoist martial arts Zhang Sanfeng. Go to wikipedia, the lineage all dead ends at him. He was like a bodhidarma in his own right as he lived alone in the wilderness for many years on wudang mountain. Name a taoist style that predates 12th century AD. Wudang is my favorite stuff. It was the final brushstroke.

  • @zigzigerblat

Aye, I don't mean official Tao martial arts, but 'fighting styles' associated with Taoism. There are various historical martial arts that aren't "based in Taoism" but draw influence from ideas such as yin yang, etc

  • The wudang were traitors and worked for the machu

  • does anyone know what the backgruond music is at 2:49

  • Saving the scraps of noodles left by the factory to feed the ones who need it.

  • and now wudang is owned by the shaolin temple. communists.......

  • thx for shared

  • I do not belong do the Tao teachings, though do not Lao tzu teach emptiness, non action to gain enlightenment?. Then is not mind intent and pursuing something one must let go?. I find the first monk's "wish" to become god and a immortal human being to be the exact reason he will not achieve it. (though perhaps the english translation do not make up for the deepness in 中文)

  • damn dude... look at their energy and power.... at 1:30 i was like "holy shit"... rediculous... kinda sucks about the famine and military actions...

  • there is no good or bad Gong Fu..... only the people how practice it....

  • Is this just Disney bullcrap or am I under the impression that Wudang doesn't show half of what they really know to Europeans?

I've read one of Zhong Yun Long's (the current head priest) articles, and it mentioned forms I've never seen a European performing, such as the 8 Gates QiGong or Wudang Long Fist, which westerners should be able to learn, since master Zhong said that it's a basic style.

  • Hey it's Wang Ping, I'm surprised I can recognize him.

  • @snifxx0

not a follower of kung fu are you? That is kind of the whole philosophy behind kung fu. There is no such thing as perfection but you can always strive towards it.

I would guess the reason why men "need" churches is the same reason that PEOPLE "need" offices even if they are self employed. Or why people have business credit cards for their company as well as personal credit cards. Why do you have to be arrogant and assuming about your fellow human beings?

    Go get laid please.

  • jade dragon is hot

  • Cult?

  • @GOG777 Just kidding anybody know where I can find the whole documentary?

  • @GOG777, it came on discovery about 2 years ago, all the best parts of this documentary are up here on youtube.

  • @israelifaggot Thanks!

  • u dont have too it just that they just try real hard the know that perfection doesnt exist but doesnt keep ppl from trying. plus wester religons are stupid easter ones a more practical

  • 5:37 it farted!!!

  • If you lock yourself in a room without contact for 10 years how do you get food, and where do you poop?

  • @ncub8 u become flexible, shit in ur own mouth, then shit that same shit out then eat it ...then shit!

    the wheel of life

  • @yulaw3 Everybody mus find their own Tao!

  • A living piece of history, and so very beautiful.

  • apart from original monk u guys are talkin BULL

  • kkk klokkijken :P

  • how come noone seems to have the full video of this documentary? D:

  • The difference between wudang and shaolin are the same differences in Zen and taoism. Similar techniques, different focus. Both have external and internal aspects. Wudang deals with balance. Shaolin deals with oneness. Both are extremely powerful. It's like comparing a father who farms/crops well, and his son, who can plant flowers, trees, and other plants exceptionally. Similar skills, different focus.

  • @igentertainment well yes and no. shaolin too has many internal styles apart from the external. there are over 120 styles in shoalin (not adding the rare styles). i train in traditional shaolin (not shaolin wushu) for over 8 years now. tai chi being an shaolin art is one of them amongst other styles

  • Hi brothers

  • It does not matter if external or internal is better, next to refinement of skill, being like madame lee is what matters. Compassionate and mercyfull.

  • @originaLmonk2

Wudang stresses daoism, (yin yang) why stress each individual instead of mastering both? By understanding the opposite is how one can further understand the original

  • @jacqueshauer Yin and Yang morph into eachother, in life and in practice !

  • lol! I hope lil shorty go back home and whoop her step-father's ass!

  • does anybody know what word in 04:59 means.? I reckon than it could be a "diconvert", but I haven't found this word in a dictionary. please help me!!!!!!!

  • "Discomfort"

  • Shaolin monks are buddhists. They are not warriors in any case, they always try to avoid violence and believe that "a criminal can become a Buddha if he drops his knife." In the other hand, Wudang taoists think that because the harmony of Yin and Yang, places where bad things happen, there must be justice. I would personally say that Wudang disciples use more violence in other situations than Shaolin.

  • wudang is the most powerfull martial art in the world!! w wudang!!

  • Shaolin has its internal form, 铁布衫 iron body ,少林五毒掌 poison hands, ect so many of them, therefore it is hard to say who is more powerful.

  • Wudang is more of an Internal school, whereas Shaolin is more External...I believe Wudand 2 be much more powerful than Shaolin

  • wudang would kill Shaolin

  • ha ha ha you dont know anything the shaolin monks are warriors the taoist wudang monks are practitioners

  • how do you know...any proof??

  • wudang can't kill shaolin shaolin are more powerful because the founder of wudang use to be a monk and shaolin has more harder training you need to read shaolin history. sorry for bad english

  • Shaolin is better than wudang but wudang is pretty cool

  • Baguazhang, of Wudang, is the ultimate kung fu form and the ultimate practicioner thereof would own the best Shaolin practicioner, in my opinion.

  • There is no ultimate form the ultimate form is to be formless

  • how do you know wudang is the ultimate kung fu form??

  • If I learn sword that I am going to learn from master Qing, for inner power that I am going to learn from master Lee :D

  • is true i do tai chi wushu kung fu and i feel better after practising tai chi!!!

  • Lady Li's story is touching

  • Yeah really touching

  • He gonna kill god or watever he belices on when he dies

  • master wang li ping is the man.

    hands down.

    his jianshu is amazing

  • this is intense!

  • I really hate it when people refer to taichi as "kungfu"... Taichi was born in wudang... 2 different things...l2 disquish them

  • kung fu is a general term for all chinese martial arts, so taichi is a form of gong fu or kung fu.

  • does not kungfu/GungFu translate as "hard work"? like i hear gungfu cooking or kungfu gardening often

  • Well in ancient chinese the term kungfu(gongfu in pinyin) means something achieved through hard effort and hard work.So therefore any chinese martial art can be referred to as kungfu, that includes taijiquan, baguazhang, wudangquan and all the rest.Although taijiquan is a softer form compared to shaolinquan for example, therefore it's classified as an internal martial art,but it could still be called kungfu. So don't get mad at people calling taiji kungfu, because it is achieved through hard work.

  • SO TRUE

  • ive looked for this so long. thank you so much for posting.

  • when i grow up, i wanna be Hokage... XD

  • i like lol

  • religion first medication will be a war amongst not your future but now small minds should be eliminated for the greater good.

  • wanna fight?

  • religion first medication?

Small minds make up big minds, or do you mean intellectuals who guide small minds? What's a shepard without flock and then you can move into theology.

  • Like the Hokages from Naruto lol

  • Madam Lee is admirable, she kept her faith all these year, outlive most of people her age. Went through a lot, and still stayed in the same place where she wanted to be. unlike some hypocrites who took a little beating and defected to the west.

  • taoist has really just one god that they really worship in their philosophy and their actions: the god of yin, GuShen(taken from Dao de Jin, or tao te chin)

  • "I want...to become a Taoist God! He he he he..." Ooookay....

  • Thanks for sharing,

    :o)

    der Horst

  • i believe this video has many truths and many lies, kinda hard to say. I wish i knew kung-fu and tai-chi. i always read about it but never have a chance to learn about it.

  • Then why are you commenting on something you obviously know nothing about?

  • hey man i have a right to speak. i have been reading and understanding the realities of Kung-fu and its principles. Any way i just found a dojo and a diamo for myself so if you want to have a talk you can always find me on oyu tube.

  • that dude has to let go of his ego - simply wanting to live forever and become a god shows he has lost touch .. kung fu is about betterment of self, but his goals seem to selfish

  • Not too familiar with Taoist thought huh? The same principles are involved in every system of self mastery.

  • hmm ive read the tao te ching, but havent studied it extensivly, maybe ive missed something?

though they are different religions my understanding from budhism is that ego is some thing that must be over come before one can be enlightened-but i readily admit im not too well read on either religion, though gungfu itself is my passion.

  • He does mention wanting to be worshiped, sounds strange to me too, but the goal is to become immortal, soul immortal, it's an interesting idea and maybe a bit deeper than words imply, but I don't know if that's this masters idea, Tao has many branches these days, somehow.

  • Tao te ching is a book of rigerous philosophy. It is written in ancient chinese so nobody has authority on interpritation. I myself wouldnt consider tao te ching a religious book. taoism is less a religion and more a way of life. The beauty of Tao te ching is that it doesnt tell you what to do, or what to not do. It tells you that "doing things" itself is wrong, thus, no action.

  • tao is everything and nothing! :P you can rant on about it forever.

  • "he has lost touch..." Don't they have medications now for that?

  • The voices are done weirdly.

  • This place is really weird... the video is done in a odd way. I dont know how to say it, but its weird.

  • damnit..i totally wish there was a kung fu school around where i live

  • it is not physical imortality

you give birth to a being that can exist in the multiuniverse free from the bonds of the ego this presenter is stuck in

  • life is beutiful.movement is life.practice something

  • those who doubt the TAO will never find it

  • why all those masters are so hurryed of telling about their training? Best masters dont make utube videos i think... however respect to this video...

  • idiot.. i doubt any of the masters in this video even kno wat youtube is.. and tellin about their training?? they barely tell us anything

  • they let men film their training and their forms. Why? a lot of masters dont permitt films or photo because if u want to see true martial art take the airplane and run to find a master, if u can.

  • thing is.. not everyone can.. they need motivation

  • Master Yo lol

  • gun towards people who perform martial arts only states that the person with teh gun is a coward...unless you didn't mean that, then why did you post that image

  • to my follower!!

  • i understand everything else you said but what does "外" mean? is that pinyin "shei" if so, who are you asking exactly?

  • that means "Wai" like for outside. So if it has a character like this one 人, it means foreigner.

  • ah i see, well i am studying chinese.

  • oh nvm! i see who you are asking.

  • only thing i hate about martial arts is the contrivercy (think i need spell check) if its idle chatting but when people start flaming masters i think its time you delete thier post espeacialy when they know nothing about it

  • there all masters so whats the problem...

  • exactly

  • *Controversy

  • thanks for this !

  • I love how he pronounces "Dao"

  • the old fart is drunk.

  • aawwww there's no more emamio?

  • ronnie tzu!

  • Thanks for posting! Another fantastic video

  • DE FIRST MASTER THEY TALKIN ABOUT IS A FUCKER.doesnt KNOW MUCH ABOUT KUNG FU AND QI GONG. he is not even good..he s just an ass hole who s shittin ppl

  • Why dont you prove that?..Seems to me that you're the only asshole here.

  • You are an ignorant fxxkwit, there are videos in you tube of one of his junior students doing amazing sword forms and amazing kicks and kungfu. Yet this student gets his ass flaten with seconds of contact with his teacher. The other two masters also defer to this guy which means they aknowledge his ability. So shut the fuck up Wudangmike and get you asrse out of your head.

  • ronnie tzu!

  • I seen this doccie before, it's very good. This is where I learned about bagua and xing yi from. Well done dude.

  • The only thing i dont like about this docu is the chump nartating, a few things he says makes me waht to shout you ignorant muppet shut up and let them do their thing.

  • mt. wudang is the best place in china. this is just an excerpt. the part where jade dragon was the narrator is better. can you post it bro?
