So technically all three wrote the song. Also the lyrics are not a quote of Cliff. They are from a poem by a German poet named Paul Gerhardt that Cliff liked.

I remember listening to my favorite PURE ROCK radio station KNAC when they announced his death back in 1986. Your facts match the report. Listen to Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning and Master of Puppets, if you can hear cliffs bass which btw defined their early music by being as loud as it was you need to get your ears checked.
Cliff even played Lead of several songs because of his epic skills. Have you heard metallica? at times they would edit their songs to turn down his bass because it was so loud.

For anyone besides the people involved in the situation to pass any sort of judgment on those involved is nothing but inappropriate. Now while a lot of aspects of the two bands are similar and very comparable, it means nothing to try to say how much this sounds like this from Metallica and that sounds like this from Megadeth. Many of the songs on Kill 'Em All were written if not completely then in part by Mustaine. Now while people are quick to pass judgment and say "They stole his songs!FUCKU2B

Metallica and Megadeth are two COMPLETELY different bands. Did you know that after the SKOM interview and actually a couple of months prior to it, Lars Ulrich and Dave Mustaine had actually settled their differences and come to terms with everything that had happened in the past?
