  • These 2 which did not like their parents must be equal to the spirit of wood

  • ehmm i didnt find number 9! XD nice job :D im starting to carve and i am looking forward to make one of this!! ive taken a lot inspiration from this videos. thanks

  • Nice but I don't agree with sanding bark at all. Downsize your chisels and carve those large carve marks away. Slower process higher quality piece. I get $100-$300 for my spirits. Some beards take me 5-10 hours of meticulous micro v-tool carving with hairs carved separately instead of chunks. You do fine work, take it to the next level. Smoothing forehead with only a knife/chisel.

  • @Bruuski WOW that must be some awfully nice stuff at $300..... certainly worth the extra time you spend, I see....good advice....

  • where is the bonus video please? Thanks!

  • lots of people might of skiped to ten but it was werth watching all of the your the best

  • @ftwtrikshots I'm glad you stuck through them all....it only took about one hour! That isn't too bad for a finished carving, eh?

  • Now i can start my wood chipping already , hahaha, i learned a lot from you sir. thanks :D

  • do you really sell them for a few dollars? because i would pay a fair bit for one of these ... i'm from belgium and these are very hard to find here ... i've tryed to make one myself before and it kinda ended up very flat... any tips ?

also what make of tools are you using because i cant find them under the price of 20 euros each... (about 25dollars) did you buy them new or second hand?

also thx for the great videos :D

  • @fabzcardon Hi, we use a term in our carving classes..."GO DEEPER" just when you htink you can't go any deeper with the facial features, go deeper anyway...grow beyond hte fear of ruining a piece. You can always carve another, as you get more practice.

Use the Pfeil brand tools...I think they are made near your location!

  • Excellent, thanks for the videos!

  • Can you make a living out of carving? do you know that with your skills you could be doing custom gunstocks for a fricking lot of money?... my hat off to you, sir.

  • i have cotton wood in my area (lots and lots) but the bark is not that thick...is there a trick to finding cotton wood bark that is thick like the one your carving..?

  • thanks for the great lesson!

  • cool, they look like willie nelson lol..is pine a good wood to use also?? i'm looking to start carving but the wood is what i'm wondering about?

  • @keidall

Really, I stay away from most pine wood. Here is the South, it's nto so good for carving...dry, splits, knots, sap....just bad stuff. Try basswood, butternut, or cottonwood bark. You'll be happier!

  • Good Day Sir!

Thanks for all of your lessons on the woodspirit carvings. I have enjoyed them all. I have also learned a lot from them. I hope to learn a whole lot more about carving from your future videos.

I will be starting my own woodspirit carving soon.

Thanks again for your most talented and valuable time.

    Have a great day!!

  • i see that stanley vise is holding up very good ...they discontinued it here in greece..i didnt have the chance to buy one! shooot !!!

  • I am perty new to wood carving and wanted to thank you for your excellent videos. Maybe now I can carve one these Ents.

  • Excellent series. You definitely have a future in videos. Keep experimenting with the camera angle. Maybe try an overhead mount for your camera.

Looking forward to many more in the future!

  • sandpaper to the face

  • ive been trying to create the same sort of character and the little guy that you always carve and so far theyve come out pretty similar. i was trying to find myself a few classes to take to improve my carving, but then i found your videos and they have helped a lot!

    thank you!

  • I'm happy to hear that. It is so cool when someone takes away something from these videos. It makes all that effort worth while.

    thank you and Happy Carving!

  • thay look happy

  • Hey Chuck! It's fun watching these carving videos in "the old terrapin shed" Keep up the good work!

  • Dude! I was WONDERING who Jeebo jamsit was.....silly goose....

    Have a great day man

We are building a new bath upstairs where the old kitchen used to be. The old living room up there is now the Master bedrrom, so the new bath will be the master bath.

    Always lots to do here!

  • Thanks for sharing your talent with us. We're just now getting our club channel up and running. Stay Sharp!

  • Great! Let me know how the club does with the new channel!

    Happy Carving'

  • hey chuck,

    5stars at least!!!

do you think the fumes from the heater may be the cause of the talking, singing to yourself and the unnecessary doctor trips?

    let us know please!!

what is a few dollars each and what kind of store do you use?

  • Hey thanks for the rating??!!!

The fumes are not my only problem. The heavy medication for my psychotic hallucinations (talking to myself?) is becoming serious. I am hopeful the medicine works soon; it's only been a year. haha....joking....

These sell for $25 to $85 each here, but may do better in wealthier areas? I show these in local galleries.

    Thanks for the comment
