Deidara truly should have won this fight. His character was really worth building upon and he had so much potential that it's really sad to see have seen it all go to waste. Kishimoto didn't even give him an in depth background like most of the rest of the Akatsuki members got! I'm hoping that now that Kabuto has resurrected Deidara, he'll have a somewhat big part in the war.

I do remember that Sasuke killed Danzo though, he had a number of different powers when he did it but the fact remains. And even though a number of the akasuki are more powerful than the kages Deiera isn't one of them, he is one of the weaker of the group, that being said he is still extremely powerful but the other akasuki are more powerful.
