I remember reading an interview somewhere with Dave Stewart who said that he wrote the song after hearing Nicks scream "don't come around here no more" at Joe Walsh, the guy she was dating at the time. Apparently, they were both on massive amounts of coke and Nicks, who was throwing a party, was pissed because Walsh kept stopping by her house after she'd ended their relationship. True story, if I'm remembering correctly

This song was AMAZING last night! They had an AWESOME laser show which really set the song off even more. SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! The concert was really, really tight last night. Mike Campbell, the lead guitarist-VERY IMPRESSIVE! I realized that Chuck Prophet reminds me a lot of Tom Petty, his voice, his music, everything!

Dave Stewart wrote the song for Stevie. During the recording Tom had done his own vocal of the song. When Stevie heard it she got mad, and said that he could keep the song. She freely admits she was spoiled and stupid to have done that now!

The first time I saw the video, i was at the hard rock cafe. my dad told me he loved it as a kid but that the end always freaked him out. i watched it and was THE BEST MUSIC VIDEO EVER!!! Yet again that might be because Ive always loved Alice in wonderland. Few facts about this song A few more facts about this song I watched a 4 hour documentary on Petty the other day and they said that Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics came in with it and it was intended for Stevie Nicks to sing. I think he only had the line "don't come around here no more" written and Petty must have filled in the rest, so it's probably meaningless to him.
