@ironwolg i'm a musician, and really don't care at all if people listen to the music here, it helps to get some fans at least...and music is passion, is selfish do it just for money...and yeah, great if people buy your records, but just some nice words or a smile of someone that enjoys your work it's an amazing feeling
i want to put the song in a vid and i just bought a bunch of hammerfall cds (cause i didn't apreciate blind guardian much then and i like hammerfall better)now i don't want to spend money to buy another cd
@darthd95 If you need only the song, just use an audio program like audacity, set the recording input so it records what comes out of your speakers, then play the song and record it.
@Mithcoriel because i'm an artist and one day this will be my problem too, so i'm trying to fight it now rather than wait till i've actually got a career in it. big bands like blind guardian arent' the only ones that have their songs thrown up on youtube, smaller bands have this problem too which can really hurt their chances of success if people just hop on youtube and put all of their songs onto audacity.
@ironwolg Even if you disagree with sharing music, there's not much you can do about it: it's not going away, no matter how many laws you pass. It has been shown that it is possible to be successful and earn a living without selling your work: take xkcd. Is it hard? yes. Is it significantly harder than earning a living solely as an artist is anyway? Not really. Like it or not, you can't rely on people not sharing music on the web.
Also, on the whole, I have a low opinion of law-abiding citizens.
@lynad2 there's a lot that has been done about it. no, it won't go away completely but file sharing has gone down significantly. and i do plan to be selling my work, so this will be a problem for me so i'm fighting it to help start my career
@ironwolg i'm an artist too, and really don't care at all if people listen to the music here, it helps to get some fans at least...and music is passion, is selfish do it just for money...and yeah, great if people buy your records, but just some nice words or a smile of someone that enjoys your work it's an amazing feeling
But can't believe that someone compares Freddie with Hansi. Very different vocal levels. Suppose that Freddie turns over in his grave when such thoughts reach him.
Let's not disturb the gods and just say that Hansi is great and has nice and powerful voice.
no offense but u really think freddie has more range? plus as far as diversity is concerned queen was a rock band, blind is just metal so hansi wouldn't for example start scat singing. oh well.... love this song and would pay money to have it played during prime listening hour on mtv or something, just to show the world its awesomeness
I think there is no need of showing it to the world, simply because teenagers, who are the main share of MTV etc, would not appreciate it. I think of metal as an élite music, because few people truly appreciate it. To force masses to listen to it would be a "denaturation" of metal. This is my personal thought, you're free to think what you want - but you have to admit few people would appreciate. :-)
hey, im a teenager and i greatly appreciate this music! just cause im a teenager doesnt mean im not intellectual or appreciate finer things, thats a stereotype dude
I'm a teenager too, hehe... I meant that the kind of teenagers who usually listen to music on MTV probably would not appreciate this music (I have a sister as a practical example...). Surely there are teenagers who appreciate it - look at the two of us. But I don't think that people who listen to Tokio Hotel or Jonas Brothers would say "hey, this is really cool!" Nah, that would be weird, in my opinion...
i do watch mtv quite a lot and i really appreciate this song. love it, actually. i start cryin every time. i guess thats just the problem: the stereotyping. it's definitely not good for us.
Sin duda alguna es Finrod Fellagund el mas groso de todos los elfos nacidos en la mente de Tolkien (o Eru??). exelente ese tema de blind Guardian, lejos el mejor! "bienvenido amanecer, tu luz me llevara a casa. Adios!" la letra es espectacular, y me re copo como terminaste el video con esa imagen de Finrod durmiendo, soñando, con la paz q lo caracterizaba, ese sueño del q habla la cancion. Te Felicito Loco, un 10 el video, segui asi! Farewell Frien of the Wood! Namarië!
To me this song means elves, the sadness and beauty Tolkien gave them. It's a pale moon night and an elf mesmerized because of that image. I have never heard anything that suggests more feelings than this. One of the best songs ever.
I think he intends to use the same technique and indeed he sounds a bit like him. But although this is a great song and Hansi has evolved to one of the best singers in the metal community he does not reach the flexibility and complexity of Freddie.
Never heard a better voice. Its beautiful

this song is a hommage to the eldar race of warhammer 40 k....

@Emrod82 Epic fail. "The Silmarillion", google it... Warhammer Eldar are based on Tolkien Eldar but this is clearly an homage to the original.

@Mithcoriel or just buy the song on itunes like a law abiding citizen

@ironwolg And putting the song in a vid like he wants to is law abiding?

@Mithcoriel no, it's not. it's illegal.

The picturefrom 2:02 is from the Neverwinter Nights.
