@IslamAnswersBack As-salam 'alaikum Brother, thank you for this beautiful upload but I am quite sure that the reciter is not Saad Al-Ghanmdi but Mishary Al-Afasy. I know this because the way he recites Bismillah is quite significant from other reciters.

(jinn and shaytan dont come near you when you recite this as it reminds them of ALLAH's Power and the fact that you know they cant harm you unless Allah Wills)
@AMillionBucksnBeyond Kursi: literally a footstool or chair, and sometimes wrongly translated as Throne. The Kursi mentioned in this Verse (al-Baqarah 2:255) should be distinguished from the 'Arsh (Throne) mentioned in Verse 7:54, 10:3, 85:15 and elsewhere. Prophet Muhammad, sal Allahu alayhi wa salam, said: "The Kursi compared to the 'Arsh is nothing but like a ring thrown out upon open space of the desert." More here: nuha38317 . blogspot . c o m / 2010 / 06 / ayat-al-kursi . html
@AMillionBucksnBeyond Dear Akhi , the formiddiable Arsh Of Allaah Subhanatta'lla is his mighty throne , the Kursi is his Magnificent footstool. BarakAllahfeekum!.
I agree that kursi means throne. Even in the language, "His throne extends over the heavens and the earth" makes more sense than "his footstool extends over the heavens and the earth." Throne suggests highness, regency, authority, majesty, etc...while footstool does not.
Also, I agree that the true meaning lies within the arabic language. Perhaps the word cannot be properly translated into english
MashaAllah thank you for this aya. I hope your new version will be much better!May god bless you and Ramadan Kareem!! XD I love Ramadan!!Don't you? =) :)
@AMillionBucksnBeyond IslamAnswersBack is right. Many things are mis-translated when translated from arabic to english. It is footstool; Arsh is his throne. Kursi is only urdu for chair.
I am a 15 year old bosnian boy who is trying to learn this ayat on my own to make my father iproud. its difficult but i think its quite a beutiful ayat and well woth the effort. Pray for me that i learn this and pray for all the muslims in the world that need help
its the footstool so imagine, his footstool extends over the heavens and the earths so imagine his throne! subhanAllah word up amazin right akhi...and try researchn the noble within the hadiths in there...salaams
@IslamAnswersBack jazakhallah for the correction. Allahs footstool extends over the heavens and earth no-one can even imagine how great his throne is! subhanallah
it is said that from the first sky the earth looks like a ring in the desert from the second sky the first sky looks like a ring in the desert and so on and so on until from the throne the 7th sky looks like a ring in the desert and Allah is on top of the throne
it's not called the footstool. it's called the throne. referring to the throne of god almighty. and it's the most powerful aya in the quran. bless u for uploading it though. ameen.
I am only going by what the companions of the prophet(pbuh) said about this ayat. I looked it up in the classical sources of Islam. If you have proof that Kursi means throne please let me know.
so u're telling me u found a speech by the prophet's companions in english? many translations have unfortunately used the wrong words to describe things in the past. kursy means chair... when u look at what the context of the word is in the aya u see that it is referring to the seat of Allah (s.w.t.) which also means it's referring to his throne. no mention of a footstool.
That is what I thought too. I was told by many that kursi means footstool but i did not believe them until I started to search for evidence. please look at the comments section.
as an arabic speaker i can assure you that kursi means chair or in this case throne. if u can read arabic i advise you to go onto an english arabic dictionary and type in the words chair and throne... both will give you the word kursi as one of the translations. for it to mean footstool it has to be called kursi el kkadamain or just kkadamee
you wrote wrong meaning of Ayat-Al-Kursi ayat means verse and kursi means chair or throne please correct it because if you know whats the meaning of it you placed too abusive words together and you are saying the meaning of the verse of holy Quran so you are wrong and if you are muslim then correct it .
it is mistakenly referred to as the verse of the throne - the throne is the "arsh" the foot stool is the "kursi" the kursi compared to the arsh is like a ring in the dessert and I wish not to lie on Allah so i conclude with Allah knows best. As far as I know this person was right to correct themselves

Right, (just finished the video) and I got the source, I'll check it out. 3a'rsh is literally a throne, or a high seat, but I still know Qursi to be seat as well.
Well, yes of course. however, the rootword, Tarkiz (force exhertion, balance, symmetry... well, you know how difficult it is to put Arabic in to english, lol) where the word Qursi comes from.
So techincally, it could be applicable to anything from a Cane, to a footstool (which does have the term Qursi reference to it in Arabic as well) to a chair.
God guide us to the most proper defintion, and I thank you for your research on the matter. Asalamualaycom.
Brother, I see you replaced the word "thone" with footstool. Could you please reference to me the hadith that makes you do so? Kursi, in all dilacts of arabic, means Seat or Throne. And I'm not familiar with such a hadith, and i would certainly like to know of it, as I've taken the meaning my entire life to be "Throne" as an Arab speaker.
w was the same brother. Many muslims were telling me that kursi is not throne. After over 10 such messages i checked it out in the tafsir of the quran and it is footstool.
Whenever I feel stressed or depressed, this aayat makes me feel so much better.
One time i was really really angry trying to fall asleep in bed and i left the laptop on; it was reciting the quran. When i was getting to the peak of my anger and frustration aayat al kursi was being recited and i just turned my head to the laptop and smiled.
Alhamdulillah, many others like to stay with the mistranslation as throne. But subhanallah even the throne of Allah is far greater. To Allah His creation is like a mustard seed in His hand.
There are so many accounts by the sahaba and the prophet that kursi is footstool. As one Hadith states that the creation compared to the footstool is like a coin on a shield. The foot stool compared to the throne is like a brass ring in a desert. after that there is Allah. In this Hadith foot stool and throne are two different things. No one has shown me evidence other wise. As you see I called it throne. I had to correct it when someone pointed out the mistake.
i admit i'm not the perfect human being nor the ideal muslim. have done my fair share of sins n mistake.
When i heard the recitation and read the meaning of this awe-inspiring surah, the hair of the back of my neck stood and i suddenly feel so remorseful for all that i have done.
Beautiful recitation. i feel so 'empty' inside after hearing it time and time again.
acualy the strengh that has been left for us muslim by our prophet Muhammad SAW is his teaching and his surahs. there are many surahs that promises good weelbeing and protection from syaitan and jinn. and there are also surahs that can be used and read everyday for good busines, good education learning and good relationship between us muslim and other kafir ppl.
i kno the ones for satan and jinis...like surah falaq and surah nas and ayatul kursi...but the other ones you speak of...which are those?? if you could share id much appreciate it, thank you
It is only growing due to reproduction. Statistics show that Christianity is taking converting Muslims to Christians in many of the poor countries with aid. Broke my heart when I heard this.
It is called the footstool. Allah is above the "arsh" not a "kursi". Read the tafsir IBN Kathir on this for this ayat. No one can give due estimate to the throne. There are hadith on this and the quran calles the throne "Arsh". Kursi and arsh are two separate things. Please brothers and sisters I am getting tired of saying this.
Jazak Allahu khairan for indicating that. But i must point out with due respect that in the video itself it states "throne" as kursi when the words are pronounced. It is also the same in the translation done by Pickthal and Yusuf Ali. I am not saying that you are wrong at all, but if the video states it and you posted the video perhaps you should have edited it prior to posting.
at the end of the video I wrote a comment that states I made the video when I did not know better. I did not want to take the video down because Muslims like it. However now I am having doubts about keeping this video up. People are using English translations as their evidence for the word kursi as throne. When there is evidence that this is not the case based on evidence from tafsir.
aww i can understand ur getting tired of it, but keep ur energy up becuase your "mistake" prior to you editing helps people focus on it, and thereby gain more knowledge on islam. Most of the videos posted have "throne" as opposed to stool. So your video helps clear that error. If you are getting tired of explaining it, perhaps you can explain it in your description so you dont have to keep explaining it =)
Thanks. I am thinking of doing videos that teach this stuff. If an ex Kafir like me can learn this then it should not be a problem for born muslims to learn.
It's the most beautiful recitation I have ever heard in my life.
The quran is the most beautiful in the world and in the hereafter. The reason about the quran why the quran is the most beautiful because the quran tells us the truth.

acualy the strengh that has been left for us muslim by our prophet Muhammad SAW is his teaching and his surahs. there are many surahs that promises good weelbeing and protection from syaitan and jinn. and there are also surahs that can be used and read everyday for good busines, good education learning and good relationship between us muslim and other kafir ppl.

I love islam, as it is the fastest growing religon in the world, and most humble.

It is only growing due to reproduction. Statistics show that Christianity is taking converting Muslims to Christians in many of the poor countries with aid. Broke my heart when I heard this.

its called the throne/chair
Allaxxiana 2 years ago
It is called the footstool. Allah is above the "arsh" not a "kursi". Read the tafsir IBN Kathir on this for this ayat. No one can give due estimate to the throne. There are hadith on this and the quran calles the throne "Arsh". Kursi and arsh are two separate things. Please brothers and sisters I am getting tired of saying this.

As salamu alaykum
Jazak Allahu khairan for indicating that. But i must point out with due respect that in the video itself it states "throne" as kursi when the words are pronounced. It is also the same in the translation done by Pickthal and Yusuf Ali. I am not saying that you are wrong at all, but if the video states it and you posted the video perhaps you should have edited it prior to posting.
Jazak Allahu khairan.
Alaykum as salam

at the end of the video I wrote a comment that states I made the video when I did not know better.

If you are getting tired of explaining it, perhaps you can explain it in your description so you dont have to keep explaining it =)
mashallah keep up the good work
