  • gosh these girls are so annoying -.-

  • good ending from Buddy Guy, that's the typical tone of him..

    they're great!

  • Im sorry but Buddy Guys tone has always been terrible.

  • @TopLink326 you're a tool who plays skyrim and minecraft, what would you know about tone?

  • @fizzydrinkz What would you know about me?

  • @TopLink326 There's nothing wrong with that tone in context. You're dumb there are so many musical colors to exploit.

  • buddy's tone sucks

  • @jojo1865 the size of your brain = .

  • @tedrobcool even so, its bigger than yours...

I love Buddy and im not saying hes a bad player, just saying his tone that night wasnt that nice.

    idiot

  • john mayer sound like Bradley Nowell (sublime)

  • Wish Mayer wouldve taken the back seat on this one...wouldve been much better.

  • John's voice is on it, whatever it is

  • Buddy is so RAW! i love it!!

  • i really dont like john mayer's solo stuff... but god can he play the blues and sing...

anyone who doubts me... hit play and look up, anyone who plays with buddy guy is no slouch...

  • 6:30 sounds reallll funky

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!!

  • Mayer's good. I just wish he wasn't such a - c'mon, let's all say it together - DOUCHEBAG!!! I mean, look it up in the dick-tionary! Douchebag = Mayer.

  • @Dogheadj sounds like you're just upset that you're not him. The man has an incredible skill when it comes to song writing, guitar playing, and getting the hottest women in the world. Dude has a right to be cocky.

  • @xAWAMx Naah, If I was a "wannabe", I could think of dozens of other guitarists I'd wannabe before I got to him. I said in my post Mayer's good. Yeah, he gets the hottest women around and then treats them like a real Douchebag.

  • Love the guitar conversation! :P In blues context, there is no guitar battle, but only guitar conversation.

  • @mooshimashiroom

    can't agree more

  • @mooshimashiroom You're so right, and these two were so good together here!

  • Gravity keep me were the light is

  • john mayer you wonderful man you! Great song here!!

  • they know how to talk to each other with their guitars... they prolly be sayin that all these bitches minds be blown lol

  • This is John Mayer.

    And Buddy Guy: THE LEGEND.

  • what do you call that buddy guy's wearing?cool shirt..anyone knows?

  • @1990Olloccin Maybe Carlos Santana gave it to him? :P

  • you know what makes Buddy Guys shows o awesome....he's interactive with the crowd...in Tucson, he walked into teh crowd ....without security, shook peoples hands, hugged fans, sat on peoples laps...came upstairs at Rialto Theater...did same thing ..."I" shook the mans hand..a legend and a GREAT entertainer!!

  • 11 people don't feel like a rain!

  • HELL YA!!!!

  • Why's it always gotta feel like rain?

  • These respondents sure have a poor vocabulary. They should learn to express themselves without the crude profanity.

  • Check out Callie's version of this classic!

  • Buddy Guy did nasty things to all the 45 year old soccer moms in the first five rows that left them wondering what the hell just happened. "Honey, some guy came out with a polka dot guitar"....

  • hahaha buddys like "oh yeah you think you slick? aint nothin as slick as marry had a little lamb."

  • Some times there is respect between people and they play off each other, better together than alone. This is a rare show

  • Mayer has no voice of blues singer ... He plays guitar very well but do not really have a voice as powerful as a blues singer!

  • @aubert83 yh he has a ladies voices, not a man with da blues!

  • @aubert83 have you heard his aint no sunshine cover at crossroads?

  • buddys tone is what makes him fucking epic

  • buddys tone ooooses the blues! just like he does.

  • Sex music 101

  • i really dislike buddy guy's tone.. i like the notes he hits and i like his guitar playing, but i cannot stand his tone, Mayers tone blows most of these ledgend guys tones out of the water with that being said if it wasnt for guys like buddy and clapton and SRV that mayer wouldnt even exist

  • @IanGuitarhero His tone is classic bro do some research...

  • i hope some of those girls in the front looked up buddy after this, i doubt it though

  • John is a great guitar player but doesn't have that type of voice for the blues. I kinda wish he didn't sing

  • @GuitarGod94XxXx i think john has a very good blues voice. its very raspy. in many songs he sounds just like SRV

  • @Jjjj187 lol he sounds nothing like SRV.. but he has a good voice

  • @Jjjj187 unfortunately....stevie was great but he didn't have quite the range that john does i mean John just goes nuts in the segment around 3:45 not alot of other singers can control their falseto like that amazingly smooth

  • @Jjjj187 check out joe bonamassa.

  • @Jjjj187 lol John's has a baby voice compared to SRV's.

  • @Jjjj187 I think thant, eventhouugh his hands have the blues, his attitude is the one of a Pop musician. I mean... watch from minute 3:52 to 4:03.

God! he's playing for the women.

  • anyone know the chords from 1:07 to 1:50 ish

  • @willraz a major maybe on 5th fret, not sure on others

  • 9 people can suck a monkey's testicle.

  • I just love how the audience had NO idea what they were in the midst of. It's Buddy mother fuckin' Guy, bitches!

  • Just to clear this up, Feels Like Rain was indeed written by John Hiatt and it was originally released on his lp "Slow Turning" in 1988. 5 years later in 1993, it was recorded as a duet with Bonnie Raitt by Buddy Guy and released as title track of his second album on Silvertone records. • dear buddy guy, i used to work in a music store where we had a guitar just like yours :) thumbs up for polka dots!

  • @chaoticgood21 only buddy guy can pull off the polka dots!

  • @chaoticgood21 not literally lol

  • @six2112 your mad jelly son...

  • @six2112 Wasn't it Jennifer Aniston? ...Or was it both? :o

  • @maltelundell Just makes me hate him even more :)

  • @maltelundell both and jessica simpson, that lucky ass

  • @six2112 omg, he did Jennifer Love Hewitt anal? Thats sooooo awesome!

  • @six2112 ROFL !!!! Hysterical comment !!! What's worse, he did the same to Jennifer Anniston, Jessica Simpson and other babes!!! More bad news...they say the asshole is hung down to his knees.

  • @59riggs Now I hate him even more!!! :)

  • @six2112 and jennifer anniston!

  • @six2112 Yeah, but with a guiar that smooth, and a voice that sweet.... can you really blame him? Just saying ...

  • @08scamp nah...I'm just jealous

  • @six2112 It was Jennifer Aniston

  • @BradAdonis it was both

  • @six2112 Well, I've jammed with Buddy, but I haven't banged JLH. Have to put that on my bucket list, I guess.

  • What concert was this?

  • Just disgusting....purely awesomely amazingly nastily sickly greasily disgustingly disgusting!!!! I have have a brand new respect for john mayer

  • Just disgusting....purely awesomely amazingly nastily sickly greasily disgustingly disgusting!!!!

  • I'm a huge Mayer fan myself, but it needs to say Buddy Guy and John Mayer. Not the other way around. just saying. Not hating at all

  • can i have this john mayer back?

    cos the new version sucks

  • @Insidejokeshk Ouch! Haha, but true. :D

  • So. It appears theres no living being who can tab this song and put it on the interwebs correctly. =(

If you find a correct version. Link it to me and ill give you a hug through your computer, this is not a joke

  • Don't know why but I had to applaud at around the 6:56 mark. Great offbeat solo.

  • John Hiatt knows how to write a song, and Buddy knows how to play it. John Mayer's not bad either ;-)

  • I believe the Original was done by John Hiatt, but I love this one too... Johns was more "soulful" but this one is definatly more "bluesy"...

  • I'm loving these two together! John Mayer is so sexy and that voice is so sexy....whew! Buddy.................Holy Night!!! He's got so much talent. Either one of them can sing me to sleep Anytime............Love this song! Incredible duo! Incredible band! They can play those guitars too....... God Bless!!!

  • how can only 300,000 watch this.. ? awesome talent!

  • Afew years back I saw John mayer and buddy guy backed by double trouble at irving plaza in nyc.He was only around a few years and I didnt know who he was.I was pleasantly surprized he played great blues both with buddy guy and on his own. After that I noticed he started showing up and different blues shows.I also saw him play at Lincoln center when they had the living legends of the blues with Muddy waters band and others he was great at that show too.Nice to see that the blues will be around

  • @bgordo1015 You don't have to be a expert on the history of a genre to enjoy and appreciate talent and good music. Buddy learned from people before him just like John did. It's the musical snobs like you that stain good conversation about music. Mayer OBVIOUSLY is a student of his craft so let his make his mark.

  • Buddy is the MAN. Saw him 2X and he just gets better and better--original version of this song was Bonnie Raitt and Buddy.

  • LOVE THESE TWO TOGETHER

  • inabit drainers!

  • @bgordo1015 the front row people were hired models to be "pretty" for tv. They were ushered in separately by security.

  • avin4723...don't know where you got all that out of my comment, you are way off...i don't see how cutesy high school girls in front has anything to do with great music..so take you uptight comments somewhere else until you can understand the English language

  • it's an insult to Buddy Guy and his wonderful history of music...take your high school bullshit somewhere else bgordo1015

  • @wji44 unneccessaray, dude. he was complementing buddy guy, not dissing him. take your uptight stuff somewhere else wji44.

  • @wji44 unneccessaray, dude. he was complementing buddy guy, not dissing him. take your uptight and negative comments somewhere else wji44. :P

  • I came in my pants when the solo'd

  • .........WOW!!!

  • this song is amazing.

  • does anyone know any other songs by buddy like this that arent in 12 bar blues? lol. it seems rare

  • @MwPrice102 do you know what kind of chord progression this is

  • @chalftits verse is cmaj7 to G Bridge is B7 to emi - D - C and then repeat the verse

  • Its like.. the master and the apprentice!

  • ultimate john

  • Is this a DVD?

  • Ain't nothin like the blues...

  • @antony5linteau its in G

  • @antony5linteau yes

  • @worshipguitar33 buddy guy doesnt tune up songs change key for buddy guy.

  • Really? 8 people did not like this? Really? WTF?

  • do know where was this concert?? please, i want to find out the name of a song he played that day and i cant remember!! i

  • Is this soong in G or A ?

  • @antony5linteau It's in M

  • JM's voice sounds so damn sexy in this song... just yummy!

  • buddy and john are both heroes of mine...BRILLIANT!

  • Fantastic...

  • John Hiatt is a great songwriter who has been covered by everyone including dylan.Unfortunately his best songs such as Slow turning will never be appreciated by a wider audience because they are about being a family man something that is lost in the sterile world of modern music

  • I love how John knew 90% of his audience probably just wanted to see him sing songs from room for squares and look cute, but he just thought fuck this, i'm gonna tear shit up with buddy guy

  • kippenvel <3

  • buddy guy never fails to engage the audience~ :)

  • brings me back to the high school years..

  • Many men 'dis' mayer because he's laid so many beutiful women who are just soooo far out of their reach. He is 50% a product of a record comany and 50% a genuine talent. Mayer even admits to catering for and thanks his teenage fans for paying for his houses etc. But I won't fall into the trap of comparing him, just listen to him sometimes and have seen him four times, the best being the Albert Hall, London. He has to bee seen live. Shame I can't find a good live recording of Assasin on here.

  • @adventure990efi There's a couple links I could give you. I tried posting them here, but they wouldn't work, oddly enough. Message me if you're interested and I'll send 'em to ya.

  • Great performance in spite of John Mayer.

  • It is great to see these two playing together. They play together all the time and their love of each other is obvious. A living legend playing with a new legend being created. What a great song and a great perfomance.

  • WHEN WILL PEOPLE ON YOUTUBE COMMENT PAGES STOP COMPARING PEOPLE TO OTHERS? NO TWO PEOPLE ARE THE SAME, WE'RE ALL LIKE SNOW FLAKES. WE'RE ALL UNIQUE, THAT'S WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT HUMANS. WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT STYLES AND TECHNIQUES IN EVERYTHING WE DO. PLEASE JUST SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE GREAT MUSIC. PEACE!!

  • @bgordo1015 exactly with out him and stevie ray vaughn john mayer would be just another guy

  • buddy's voice is just gorgeous

  • wow....there good....awesome :))

  • @MyMoppet52 I totally agree, I posted a comment 30 mins ago on a Derek Trucks vid where people were comparing Mayer with Trucks. Like what the... I used the same word, irritating. Thats what Mayers voice is IRRITATING.

God knows why these legends jump on the Mayer bandwagon. His strat sounds ordinary too, very ordinary. Buddy makes his sound like a woman screaming for her life... hahaha!

  • @ozpicker how bout we dont compare, because who honestly gives a fuck

  • Guitars were going but Mayors a little soft singing for me.

  • BUDDY GUY IS THE GREATEST!!!

  • This video is great. I like the music, but really miss Buddy singing when he gives it over to John. I am sorry, but John sounds like a little kid trying to sing. John doesn't have the voice when compared to Buddy. I know he plays with all the 'biggies', but he doesn't sound like he's singing the blues. He is irritating when he cuts into a vocal on a blues song. I don't want a lot of flack on this and I'm not trying to upset anyone. Just my opinion. Love his playing! Thanks.

  • im 18 and im playin the drums in a couple local blues bands in the pittsburgh area..Buddy guy is the best guitar player in history..period

  • Classic...New school and old....mixing. This is epic stuff.

  • Buddy is fricken amazing! It's all about the respect that is being offered. man i felt that! nobody trying to show up anyone, just respect and creating together. wow...

  • Buddy is gettin off man!

  • Im reading a book called gone and thats the only reason I looked it up...

  • @bgordo1015 The beauty is that they wouldn't know who he is if John Mayer wasn't playing with him, as Buddy Guy influences him and makes him the artist he is, Mayer in turn brings him to the attention of newer, younger audiences. I got into SRV as I heard he sounded like Mayer, this was as I was just starting to play guitar, from there I jumped to blues artist to blues artist.

  • @ajfindlater cuz..you heard SRV sounds like mayer?? you mean john mayer sounds like SRV

  • @camroncrazy3 yeah i know that but i was speaking to someone and they said they really heard the stevie ray influence in mayer so i checked it out

  • @ajfindlater yeah...buddy guy is my favorite blues player ...but freddie king is a close second..man could he shread

  • look at the chemistry these 2 have! amazing!!!
