It's an interesting assumption to think that her not letting Jesus on her throne of decision making is a decision in itself but this is clearly not scriptural. That is an idea generated by a guy named Jacobus Arminius. The Bible says in Eph 2 that we are not sick in our decision making, we are DEAD in our decision making. All things related to seeing in the spiritual realm are against our human nature. we are dead in (as far as) sins.
Romans 3:10-11, we dont want holiness because we are dead.
I like you ProphecyChannel. You seem to be a decent person.
My question to you is this. Who says that you need Jesus to make that choice? Why not make intelligent decisions without the metaphysical drama and put say Buddha, Thomas Aquinas, or Søren Kierkegaard in that chair? Or even better yet, take responsibility and sit in that chair yourself?
Because it seems to me, when Jesus sits in that chair, Christians justify discrimination and hatred because "I was speaking for Jesus".
Unfortunately, many Christians fall into the trap of discrimination. I have to admit that I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life. However, that certainly does not excuse poor or cruel behavior toward others such as Buddhists.
As for the chair, I believe that God guides me but we have choice. I hold that even the unsaved can hear God - its called ones conscience.
Personally, when God wasn't in my throne I lived horribly, but that changed when I opened my heart to him.
"I hold that even the unsaved can hear God - its called ones conscience."
Fair enough and I'm slightly impressed. Just remember there's always the likelihood that the world maybe a little bigger than you first imagined. You seem in a good position to try exploring it someday.
And thanks for your patience. I think you are intelligent enough to know what I believe, so there's no reason to say it here. I wish you prosperity and delusion-free days.
so now you show me how she then was using the name for wat purpose ?
i do not see any bodylanguage that shows respect/fear/believe
secondly it is not a videocapture of real life
it is all played...
i do not believe you
she easely could have said "pressure? you really don't understand pressure, pressure is..." and then could have given the example of what pressure really is eventually the example of the Lord Jesus Christ but in a respectful/fearful manner
Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
if the Lord Jesus Christ is your Saviour and He saved you from the eternal fire freed you from sin and gave you a restored relation with God and eternal life
I think you are hearing it incorrectly. She said it this way:
"Pressure? Jesus, you don't understand pressure."
She was not using His name in vain. I see why you could be mistaken, especially if your native language is not English. There was no foul intentions involved.
Now I understand you. Rest at ease my friend, it was not intended or said in a derogatory way.
and why i lost you ? i looked a little closer on your channel and you have a policy for commenting on your videos you forbid to curse etc. in the comments and people in your videos do curse ???
Please explain why you believe that it is cursing to say the name Jesus in a manner that identifies Him as opposed to using it in a derogatory manner.
Also, where her friend is concerned, there's no way for her to differentiate "giving the chair to Jesus to make decisions" and "making decisions based on what she THINKS Jesus would do if he were in the chair". As this video shows, it can be disastrous. She's having trouble "coming to terms" with the rejection she SHOULD be showing her friend. This might not be Jesus' plan at all. He might want her to just go shopping and "be there" for her friend. "Giving it to Jesus" doesn't solve it.
1) Jesus helps people make obvious choices that they could just as well make on their own, like realizing amassing huge amounts of debt is a generally a bad idea?
Or..
2) He helps people take a moral stand on other people's personal issues that aren't any of their business?
Jesus makes all of your decisions for you and it is up to you to obey Him or not. It's so simple a child can understand...but like the foolish "adults" we are, we don't trust "doing" things the Way Jesus wants them to be done. It's called "self preservation" and the main stream Christian community buys into the lie hook, line and sinker...
Jesus Christ, The Way, The Truth and The Life...BUT ONLY if we choose to believe.
But I'm an Atheist and I know not to go into huge credit debt, and I know how to say no to needless spending with a friend. My question is why you think Jesus needs to make these ethical decisions for you?
It sounds like in this video, people are avoiding merely being ethical by inventing this struggle with "giving it to Jesus".
This woman is alienating her friend because of a snap moral judgement. Jesus' ACTUAL influence has nothing to do with it.
It's not people wanting to avoid thinking, it's people wanting to fulfill the lusts of their flesh which is sin.
Sinners are separated from God and Jesus Christ is the Only Way to be reconciled to God. There are a lot of Christians who "say" they love Christ and serve Him, but in their actions they deny Him such as the woman in this video.
How does a Christian do "what Jesus would do" if their sin tells them merely "what they'd prefer to think Jesus would do"? With all of this sin, how could Jesus ever be "in the chair"? The problem would persist of people's sin causing them to A) ignore Jesus, or B) only do what their sinful natures TELL them Jesus would have them do, not what he'd ACTUALLY do.
This can't be fixed by simply handing over "the chair" as it doesn't guarantee any degree of clarity coming from Jesus himself.
Exactly! and that's where Modern day Christendom has failed miserably.
Christ has become a "part" of peoples lives instead of becoming ALL of a persons life. It takes faith that is encompassed with SELF sacrifice. It takes a conversion from the invisible God that can only come about when a person (Christian) counts the cost and FINDS that "the cost" is their ENTIRE life, hence "to live is Christ and to die is gain". One MUST count the cost! If not, they become a parody for all of life to mock
Strefaropolis, if one really hands over the chair then they will repent and obey the Gospel. It invovles more than just trying but rather rebirth, being born of the water and the Spirit. (John 3:5, John 1:12, Hebrews 5:9, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-4, and Hebrews 6:1-3). The Gospel involves SHEDDING the sinful nature and receiving the Spirit, taking on a new nature.
In terms of your argument of her maybe needing to just 'accompany' her friend shopping: be not unequally yoked.
Wonderful video. It can be difficult to completely surrender to God's will at times. We all fight that battle at times. How many times has we surrendered to God only to take it back (sometimes not even realizing that we did) a short time later. It is a spiritual battle we are engaged in and it is 24/7. Some day when Christ returns to catch us up to be with him we will no longer deal with the fleshly old nature but live in the new nature completely. What a day that will be! Thanks for the share.

KJV: Exodus 20:7. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
KJV: Jesaja 30:27.

... how would you talk about your Saviour ?
compare this with being saved from a sinking ship in the middle of an ocean by a rescue-team how would you talk about them ?
now the Lord Jesus Christ did more He gave His life...
that is nothing funny
He is crusified because of our sin...
man...
do you now understand and feel what i mean ?
