This song is simply an amazing, beautiful song. The music video is well put as well. I love the line "and for the first time I could see that God was not my enemy". @spongebobgeekable the main soldier is like Jacob in The Bible who carries a lifelong burden; Jacob's burden was the birthright that he took from his brother Esau, the soldier's burden is the lives of the soldiers he's killed in self defense... Jacob wrestles the angel, and the soldier wrestles his enemy. Both Jacob and the soldier find peace when they face their burden... this is what i think the lyrics and the video mean

@speechless00 yes thats what im referring to... however what he "stole" from Esau was not a gift, it was the blessing of the firstborn to inherit his father's responsibility as the leader of God's people. this is why Jacob feared returning to his homeland because he would have to face his brother, just as the soldier in the video was running from his enemy to avoid facing his recent past as a soldier
