Just curious! You are very good at the commentary stuff, but you are not an instructor or training to be one. Why did you use your valuable time to do these videos? Glad you did though...good commentary is conducive to good driving! Many thanks
Not bad driving at all. I think that the video itself is slightly disappointing overall, and I think that at times your commentating upon what's just occuring or has just occured.
I truly think that this might be due to the way the video has been made using a lens that's making stuff in the distance appear artificially close, thereby making your commentary appear to be late.
Maybe. However, I am also guilty of letting my commentary become too present tense, or even past tense. I may do more driving vids this Summer, and I'll try to iron out this problem. I've also got a different camera now.
not bad paddy, just the comment on the speed camera -1, you shouldn't need to emphasize that you're not speeding, 2, that type of gatso won't flash you from the front! ;)
got any tips on built up areas commentary with lots of parked vehicles? I find I am spending too much time over it, i.e.
'offside mirror, positioning away from parked vehicle, one oncoming, nearside mirror, positioning back to the nearside, more parked vehicles, offside mirror, positioning towards centre lines...'
