  • if dave was alive today he would be kicking ass all over the place. Wendy's has went from my favorite place to eat to a place that just disgusts me.

  • Dave your the man

  • Fascinating insight into these founding figures! if I ever visit the states I'll have to go to Wendys to see what its like.

  • 2:49 Me too Dave, Me too. Hot and juicy, indeed.

  • Kfc is still really good to me..... but they both did stop serving as much food as they used to .

  • he was like the Colonle he gave a lot away to help others not even knowing of his emmnit death

  • He was cool!

  • First class gentleman.

  • I'm surprised Dave wasn't asked about his daughter Wendy.

  • No matter how rich and successful Dave became, at heart, he was still a blue collar soul and it shows here. Such a great, down to earth individual Dave was.

  • They were both geniuses. When they passed, their franchises went bad.

  • @teetertotter68 wendys been bad

  • @teetertotter68 ------IDK but KFC still doing very well the man taught us alot

  • @kfc63822

    You think so!!!????

For me, KFC pretty much went downhill in the late 80's and their system isn't the same as what the Colonel had in place. The chicken doesn't taste the same and they use different oil and the gravy isn't the same. Pretty much KFC is second rate chicken when compare to Popeye's Chicken... The funny part for me is the fact that Church's Chicken has better Chicken and cheaper prices than both Popeye's and KFC. But back in the day KFC was the best chicken in US.

  • sounds like the cops coming for his ass in the background.

  • wendys wasnt the same after dave died

  • Agreed.

  • Great concept for an interview program.

"When I was 25". Informative to the listener and fun for the guest.

  • mustayshes

  • Truly fascinating. Great interview. Thanks for sharing it. Thomas and Sanders both deserve resepct for what they accomplished through hard work and commitment.

  • I miss the good old days when guys like Dave and the Colonel ran things.

  • that was the coolest thing

  • I grew up with Dave Thomas in a way. From 16 to 18 I worked for Wendy's. I worked everything from the grill, to the cash register. I even appeared in a "Wendy's World" training video. Then after college at age 23 I returned to Wendy's as a manager,, going from shift sup, to Asistant manger to GM. Eventually I went on to use my degree as a teacher but I learned many good disciplines at Wendy's, hard work, loyalty, and diplomacy. White red green white red green yellow!

  • man i love wendy's.. DAve why did you have to die

T_T i still love the Biggie Fries

  • Very interesting. Thanks for posting this.
